This reminds me of GOTY 2026 King of Ping Pong Megamix

Fun game! Feels very thematic and cool. I think it's visually very stylistic and I like the implementation of the theme.

Cool game! The first thought I had was that the game was really pretty, and later on I was also impressed with the gameplay. Jumping around with the pulse gun is lots of fun.

It could be just me but I feel like I'm seeing some influence from Celeste and Animal Well, which is very cool.

It was also impressive to see how many different mechanics were added to the game, as they all felt nice. I also liked the challenge rooms.

I have two small gripes with the game - the first is that the recurring wave, while mysterious, doesn't really add much to the game (at least at the start) and in general feels disconnected from the rest of the game design. This is a shame because obviously care and effort went into it, with the dedicated UI and graphics and SFX, but it just feels disconnected.

The second gripe is that at times the level design feels very "loose". Some parts feel like they have lots of intentionality in them and a specific platforming challenge you need to perform, while others feel more like some enemies and some collectibles were thrown in.

Overall, a great game and one I think worth iterating on even further. Good job!

I think it's technically impressive to integrate PvP and PvE into a game jam game, but the game is confusing and not very engaging for me personally. I was halfway through when I even realized that I was playing against waves of enemies and I was customizing my sword's stats in a meaningful way.

I don't know if the order of unlocks is random, but the first 'crafting' unlock I got simply allowed me to reset my craft, which didn't matter at all considering I basically had little to modify with.

Also, there might be some exploits going around because I went up against people with +999% damage or something ridiculous like that.

This is a fun game with some serious flaws in my opinion. Its strong points are the wave simulation that directly ties into the theme of the jam, and the audio direction is great (I get a little chuckle whenever I hear that "set sail").

I think mechanically the game is troubled. The placement of the player's ship on the left of the screen and the sails indicates that your goal should be moving right, when in reality you need to stay afloat and tilting your craft results in tipping. Like, the first couple of play-sessions are basically a drowning simulator. Upgrades like the paddle basically insta-kill you.

At least you respawn quick and try again. Once you get a couple of upgrades the game actually gets going and your input can actually help you stay alive longer. I did make it to the final upgrades of each category, but that was mostly by leaving the game on and resetting it when I died because any input tends to make you lose faster :)

Overall - technically impressive game with a great interpretation of the theme, but with a starting player experience that might push people away.

Kaiju Hunt is great! The varying different attacks and enemies really capture that great boss energy, and the simple control scheme allows you to focus on reading the enemy rather than making the right combo.

I will note that I played this game on an ultrawide monitor, and while it's perfectly playable, I can see from the screenshots that I was supposed to see a HUD which I definitely didn't :)

This game rules. It was so fun seeing how different elements of the UI could interact with one another!

Fantastic. Simply awesome.

Hi! Really liked the game, it's simple yet challenging!

Only gripe I have is that it's not immediately intuitive what the goal of the game should be without reading the description. Because there is no counter going up as Shelfy avoids books, it could easily be perceived that the goal is to stack as many books as possible (before you lose of course).

Thanks for the feedback. you're totally right.

Absolutely fantastic entry. The pixel art is pretty, the gameplay is unique and fun, the concept is a great spin on the theme. Absolutely incredible work for 3 hours.

Fun game which ties nicely to the concept, and the art is pretty. Great work!

There is no doubt that this is the most unique entry I've seen to this game jam thus far - both in concept and gameplay It's astounding to think you made something like this in 3 hours. Excellent work.

Still, I gotta say that the gameplay was equally frustrating as it was creative. Not all games have to be fun, but I wish there was a little bit more clarity to how this game is played.

Still, good work :)

Great first entry! A clever concept that ties in to the theme in a creative way, and the gameplay mechanic is unique and fun!

A shame you guys didn't make it in time, but do try again next time - this was an excellent game.

Great entry - a unique gameplay mechanic, good use of sound and falling pieces to give the game some 'juice', and a clear objective.

I absolutely loved the art direction, and the concept is really creative too. Feels like a surreal mix of Gen Z humor and Papers, Please.

The gameplay was a little buggy, but not to the extent that it hurt the gameplay too much. Good job!

Physics is naturally fun. Maybe add some puzzle/mechanic about pushing blocks over?

Very cute and fun game! I love how you need to mash an arrow key in order to move in that direction. It's a unique mechanic that instantly gives the game a humorous vibe.

Building puzzle-like levels around the lack of precise control was a great idea.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it <3

So addictive! I love this game :)

Thank you very much!

Thank you ^_^

Wow. I don't know what to say. Thank you :)

Great game! Really shows that nothing gets in the way of good game design! ^_^
