Whoa, I love pixel art games and platformers! The art style is awesome!! And the Juni reference :3
It was a bit difficult for me. Maybe the first level after the tutorial should start out a bit simpler to get used to the mechanic more before putting it to the hard test.. But I know it's very difficult to take the new player perspective as a dev :)
I'd be happy if you'd also try our game :3 (we chose pixel art too)
Me and mikachelya made a pixel art incremental as our first game!

We already played your game and enjoyed it!

I'll also try your game!!
This is for sure the best game we have tried so far! The mechanics are well worked out and the background scene and animations are awesome!
Please do limit the number of coins on screen, it started lagging strongly around 300.
We'd be happy if you also tried our incremental! We worked on it the entire week :3
Wow, that's for sure the best game we've seen so far! Was very fun :3
This is our incremental game! (lots of upgrades) https://mikachelya.itch.io/spin-to-kill
Balatro with a twist! I really liked how you have to think way more to make good hands!
I also like the jokers that break if you don't use them, it makes runs more unique.
The entire game feels very polished. Some tiny feedback notes:
- Cards that you hover on should always be in front (otherwise it can be hard to see what they are)
- In the shop cards that you can't buy could be greyed out so you don't have to look for the price
- Maybe the same two cards shouldn't be able to appear in the shop.
- Left Hand Joker shows the highest modifier it had, not the current one?
- After rerolling the same card I just bought showed up again and it's not clickable
- I bought the shop empty but can still reroll (and then no cards appear)
