Oh, I'm really sorry that's happening! Do you have a place in particular it's coming up?
In both Chrome and Safari for me it seems to automatically scroll down to options as usual, which can interrupt the flow when you need to scroll back up to where you were. There are also several points in the story where the previous passages are locked off, but that doesn't seem to be what you're describing.
I can certainly try to get into Ink's code and see if I can correct the problem, or it could be some kind of glitch in the conditional logic, but you could also try to read it over where it was originally submitted for IFcomp: https://ifdb.org/viewgame?id=mhm7zqdxy4kqojn2
