I had a lot of fun playing your game! I really liked how you incorporated the jam theme. Building up the squid's "turbo" by spinning more and more to travel farther was a really fun mechanic.

At first, I found it difficult to aim the launch because of the limited visibility of where the squid was going. However, once I realized you can keep spinning while using the turbo to avoid obstacles, everything clicked and it became much easier and more enjoyable.

The squishy sound effects were also great—they made the squid feel soft and gooey, which added a lot to the experience.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Great job!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!

I completely agree with you about the cards. While there's still a chance that the cards you pick won't be the ones you end up with after spinning the wheels, I think it would be much more interesting if selected cards were removed from the pool so you couldn't always rely on picking the same ones.

The spin attack issue is definitely a bug 😅. The Drunkard card only modifies a few stats, so that behavior wasn't intentional. I'll try to push a fix for it soon. Thanks for letting me know!

As for the platforming bugs like getting stuck on corners, I unfortunately didn't have much time for playtesting before the deadline, but I'm already looking into those and hope to fix them as well.

I also agree about the lack of polish. Most of my time went into building the card and spinning wheel mechanics, so I couldn't add as many sound effects and visual effects as I wanted. Adding hit particles, more SFX for the player and enemies, and making the music loop more smoothly are all things I'd like to improve.

Thanks again for taking the time to play and write such detailed feedback!

Great game! I really liked how you incorporated the jam theme. Moving to the rhythm of the music was a creative idea, and I also liked that the controls rotate and that newly unlocked abilities spin as well.

Personally, I found the movement quite difficult to get used to, so it was a bit challenging for my brain. That said, I think you did a great job implementing the mechanic. Nice work!

Great game! I personally really enjoy tower defense games, and I had fun playing this one. I think the UI is very creative and fits the game's style really well.

The only suggestion I'd make is to place the money display on a higher layer, since there were a few times when it was hidden or I accidentally clicked something else instead.

Great job!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! I completely agree with you about the difficulty. I had a few ideas to make the game more accessible, but I ended up running out of time before the deadline.

I also wanted to lean much more into the "Spin to Win" theme. One idea was to let the player rotate the table to change the level layout, along with adding more spinning mechanics during the platforming sections. Unfortunately, those ideas had to be cut due to time constraints.

Thanks again for playing and for taking the time to leave such helpful feedback!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I'm really glad you liked the visuals! 🙂
I'll take a look at those tight spots to see if I can make them a bit more player-friendly. I didn’t get much time to playtest, so it’s definitely possible some areas ended up harder than they should be. Thanks a lot for the feedback and for taking the time to share your experience!

Thank you so much! Yes, Spelunky was one of the inspirations, along with The Binding of Isaac. I'm really happy you liked the slime animations! At first, I wanted to add physics to the body, but it didn’t work out very well.
And great catch on the ladder mechanic! I’ll make sure to add that info to the game’s description so it’s clearer for players. Thanks again for playing and for the thoughtful feedback!
