thanks for the reply!

the pressure plates have a variable that defines how deep into the ground they should go, i accidently left it as the default 0.7 which led to the plates going into the ground then rising up again because there is no more contact with the rigidbody before going back down again and making a damn mess

I think the reason of the boxes' behaviour is that I forgot to make a physics material for them, (there was already one that had no friction that i placed on the ground and the player so that the player doesn't get stuck on walls but it also led to boxes being slippery)

also, thy skeleton is Azcuth himself, the god of reality. the idea behind his design is that Azcuth was a powerful and feared god, after his death, his body was preserved inside the tomb, but he wasn't really dead. but his body kept rotting so much he had to put away his heart to get charged into another place than his chest, leading to it getting crystalized, which is the artefact many have died searching for

thanks for the reply!

I am happy you like it!

thanks for the comment! I am pretty proud of this game

the torch was hard to find wasn't lol

thanks for the reply!

I am pretty proud of this game. and I wanted to ask : would you prefer that at the end, instead of a chase running away from Azcuth, or a boss fight against him? or both?

I tried making it clearer by removing the lights from it and adding the "maybe the rooms aren't so identical" text.

though i think its best right now, kind of feels like "find the difference", maybe I am gonna make it the theme of a level with three repeating rooms where you have to find the number of differences

thanks for the reply!

I was actually a bit stressed about the levels not playing with the new concepts more, i kind of felt like I was introducing something new then just discarding of it. but now I know I did the right choise.

later when i turn this into a full release, I will add new levels with new mechanics that get explored a bit before introducing new things

thanks for the reply!

what are the games you played?

sorry, it keeps telling me this is a virus

still gonna gave you a good rating

honestly? I though about that too, it was pretty shitty using buttons

since I am planning on redoing the game anyway, I am gonna change it to an operating lever that you can even put in the middle for no movement

its pretty short anyway

but thanks

just the title of your game makes me think of my game lol

alright I gonna try it out

(1 edit)

the controls in this game work with "rb.velocity =" not "rb.addForce()" (rb being RigidBody)

and the cover art not looking like the game is a complete coincidence, since the artist of the cover art was supposed to make the rest of the art but was in fact helping other game jam participants with their art, so he didn't have time for us, leading to me making all the art while only being good at pixel art.

but the cover hits hard ngl

I think it looks more like a 90's cartoon, also kind of looks like a Ghibli anime

thanks for the comment!

thanks for the comment and feedback!

I am pretty proud of this game and is planning to fix a few things about it

I don't think I have the right to change the game to a zip right now since its against the gmtk game jam rules

I am a bit sad some people wont be able to play the game and rate it but what ever i guess

I will fix it after the jam

some guy in the comments told me that he kept repeating to download the game and it eventually worked, I think he repeated twice.

maybe retry?

I struck the perfect mix of eerie and cute didn't I  lol

thanks for the feedback!

I would love to work on the game more and fix some of the visual and audio bugs

probably gonna do that soon

thanks for the feedback.

I am adding that to the list of little things I should fix, maybe I just forgot to add a collider to the lava lol

I have gotten so good at playing the game i never fell in lava and noticed the bug

thank you for the feedback!

I am proud of this game and I am planning on adding new levels to make it a full release

(1 edit)

thanks!

I never realized people will like the lighting so much lol

all I did was dim the global light, give a spot light to the player and place some torches, but i guess its the little thing with the most impact

you flipped the heart lol

thanks for the feedback anyway, I am planning of fixing some stuff with my team then posting the full game

other people have told this issue

I have no idea why it happens, whatever I guess...

other people have told me this and I swear to god this game ain't a virus lol

thanks for the comment!

I was hoping at the end to make a boss fight against Azcuth instead of just a chase, but i didn't have time

still proud of it though, this is my first complete game lol

thanks! i did all the in game art and pedrawing did the poster and some other stuff

I didn't think I was that good at drawing but thanks for the feedback anyway

(1 edit)

I have no goddam Idea why this happened, someone else told me this issue and I can't understand what happened

whatever i guess...still a bit sad some people can't see this game

maybe I just forgot to set the layer of the lava to danger and i dhave no idea why the return to menu doesn't word since the credit's scene is in the build settings

still proud of this game though

I promise it ain't a virus

trust

cool

I didn't even play the game lol, just the fact you complimented my game was enough to get 4 stars on everything

thanks for the feedback!

I am planning on fixing some visual and audio bugs, add a few more levels and then maybe do a boss fight against azcuth , because that was the original idea but i didn't have time to make it

hey, as much as I wanted to compliment this game, it wasn't the best

you probably had some urgent stuff to do and didn't have time to do anything,or maybe this is your first time making a game

here is some feedback: the art is quite nice, but it looks bad together because the pixel sizes don't match

the layers in which everything is drawn is weird since the player can just hide behind the clock

and stepping out of the border leads to not being able to play anymore, plus there is no pause menu to restart

the fact the player is a knight doesn't really fit the fact he is in a normal bedroom

and the first puzzle should be at least a little bit obvious

its a bit annoying having to restart and it actually did take me a few seconds to figure out that the player presses Z to jump, still a cool game that looks and sounds cool and is cool, you are cool

its a really cool game but it is kind of annoying having to back track a lot

(1 edit)

I don't know if i should laugh or cringe

actually i just made the levels in a repeating way lol

still fits the theme and is quite easy to make

did you like the game? I suppose so

what did surprise you?

it has some little stuff like me forgetting to set the backround to black at the second journal entry as well as not making the back to menu work with the credits, there were some visual and audio bugs I didn't have time to fix, but i still proud of our game

thanks for the review
