I don't think that was the point of the message. How long it takes for this kind of game depends on many things that not even relate to gameplay itself, like reading.

But I did go there and had the scenes with Hai and the mother, I've tried multiple times after that at different times and nothing has happened. 

What do I do after I get the scene with the officers talking about how 4 people have disappeared? It's after the whole Queen Spider gland thing.
