Hi, thanks for reaching out.

Could you give more information about your system? E.g. your operating system, more specs of your laptop, and your graphics drivers?

One thing I recommend doing is pressing Shift+G when in game and testing whether any of the graphics options there change your experience. Sometimes screen issues are due to incompatibilities between your screen drivers and the game engine.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Could you tell more about what you're playing the game on? E.g. your operating system and the specs of your device?

Hey there. Thanks for letting us know.

While we look into adding an option to hide the keyboard - pressing the Enter key on the on-screen keyboard submits the name input screens and that should let you continue.

This was very fun to play, gave me a fun throwback to my MMORPG days (no video calls back then, thankfully :D ).

This was extremely beautiful and validating. <3

Hi there, thanks for the comment and even more so - for the suggestions. We'll see what we can do for the motion sickness issue for the full game release.

Hey there. The link to the discord can be found at the bottom of our newest Ducklog.

Lovely art and a distinct writing style for VNs. Definitely looking forward to seeing something more in the universe.

This gave my anxious demi butt enough serotonin to get through the week. Thank you for the amazing experience.

I loved playing the demo. The atmosphere hits just right between cute and neck-chilling. It's giving me strong sci-fi movie I'm purposefully not naming vibes.

Looking forward to the full game.

Hi, thanks for bringing this to our attention! We'll fix it in the next patch release. :)

Hey there.

The game data is stored in a different directory, depending on the operating system you're using. First you have to find the RenPy global save folder on your OS:

  • Windows - %APPDATA%/RenPy/
  • Mac - ~/Library/RenPy/
  • Linux - ~/.renpy/

And there the savefiles should be in the UnderMaintenance-1651390449  folder.

Happy hibernation day!

It was short and sweet and featured my favorite animals of all time!

Hey there. Thanks for your comment, we really appreciate the feedback.

Since we realized it's not conveying what we wanted to show, the scene in question (in Theo's chapter 1) has been adjusted.

Thanks so much for your review! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks so much for the review and giving it a whirl even though it's not your preferred genre!

Thank you for creating this. While it was poignant to read, I'm definitely glad I did.

Thank you so much for your kind words. They mean the world to me.

I'm happy that you enjoyed playing!

This was definitely fun to read. MC really reminded me of Yurika from Taisho x Alice.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for playing!

Lovely and ethereal.

How many endings are there? I got two, wondering whether I should hunt for more.

This was fun!

On a tangent - when is a full-length game where you date Death coming out? Asking for a friend?

Loved the atmosphere and the fresh edge. You don't often see Yandere POVs.

Oh. The most likely issue that comes to mind is something with Ren'Py 8.0 not playing well with older versions of Windows (I feel the sentiment, I also usually drag out upgrading to the last possible moment).

I recompiled the latest version of the game with the old Ren'Py 7.4 engine, could you tell us if this works?

Hello. We're trying to figure this issue out and have some further questions that would really help us with that:

- Have you had similar issue with any visual novels using Ren'Py engine before?

- If you're on a Windows System - what's your Windows Eidtion, OS build and Experience (available under Settings -> System -> About -> Windows specifications). If you're on *nix - what distribution?

- When you first run the game via the executable (UnderMaintenance.exe, not through itch.io launcher) it creates a file called log.txt in the game install directory. Is the file created for you, and if so - what are it's contents? There might also be a file called traceback.txt.

- Are you able to launch the game while holding down the "Shift" key and double clicking on the executable (without the itch.io overlay). That should launch it in options configuration mode.

Got hooked with the promise of video-calls with LIs with cute pets, stayed for the intricate game mechanics and amazing character dynamics. Can't wait for the full release.

Great satire, I loved it.

This game is amazing, you have made several of my evenings.
