Can someone explain what OOM is? I can't find anything in-game to explain it. All I know is it's related to mana somehow.

Honestly, the only thing keeping me playing at this point is knowing how much I liked the first iteration and hoping future updates will balance the early game better. I still haven't completed the first row of pink squares, and I've been playing since around the time this version became available. I'm not even sure what I'm doing wrong since I know other people have made it much further. I'm guessing part of my issue was that I went for high luck with anti-luck, slowing me down, which I didn't know until the hover tooltips were added. And maybe I'm playing too greedy with mana, trying to maximize my bonus before casting? Idk, and it's frustrating at this stage.
A fun, short incremental game, as long as you don't go for 20 lv 5 bees. I completed the tree with 1 lv 5, 4 lv 4, 4 lv 3, and 6 lv 1-3 bees (I'm writing this after I tried going for the lv 5 bees so I don't have an exact number), which is what I'm assuming the main goal is actually meant to be. Either way, I had more fun than I was expecting!
Really liking the game so far. The UI takes some getting used to, but I think it does its job alright, and I'm thoroughly enjoying my time with the game so far.
There is a weird bug I'm having: When I move off the game screen (I like to multitask with incremental/idle games), the map just keeps scrolling, even when my mouse cursor isn't on the screen. My only reliable way of avoiding it is by having another application overlap the game screen, alt+tab to it, then move my mouse. The only other way I've found, which is inconsistent, is by flicking my mouse off the screen. My best guess is the game thinks the cursor is in its last known position when the cursor leaves the game (hence why alt-tabbing and moving directly off the screen without touching the edge of the map would work), though I'm unsure why the in-game cursor icon wouldn't show up in this case.
The tutorial said I unlocked the main menu, but I can't figure out how to access it. So I can't adjust window size, volume, or whatever else would be in the menus. It also means the only way I know how to close the game is to alt tab out and close it.
I'm having fun with the game, though I occasionally have to take breaks to recover from the pops being in the "sweet spot" of pitch and volume to cause me pain. To be clear, this game is great enough that I keep tabbing back into it despite it causing me pain, which is better than most incremental games can claim.
Helium isn't appearing for me after unlocking atomic stability. I then used an autoclicker to unlock the rest of the elements, and helium is still missing. Also, the chart's layout is weird. Idek how this layout happened.
I'm still excited to see this game develop. I've always been a fan of universe-building incremental games.
EDIT: Apparently, there are 2 other elements missing since there are only 115 elements and I have all the upgrades. I think it's Ts and Og
I seem to have a phantom rounder. When I had a delta, a gamma, a beta, and an alpha, it said I had 5 rounders.. I then used all of my rounders, and the display still said 1 rounder. Refreshing the page did not solve the issue.
EDIT: I found it by zooming IN of all things. There should probably be a confined area where rounders can spawn, rather than whatever caused this weird phantom rounder.
I think I've finally finished the game. Unless augment mastery unlocks more stuff, the only things I haven't unlocked are things that have "requires more dev time" as a requirement. A bit sad that that's where it ends. It was a fun experience, and I'd definitely consider getting the Steam version if it becomes a full game. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this game, and I think there are enough options that it actually has some replay value.
A couple bugs I found with the new update:
1) I kept seeing the popup for "The universe beckons!//New content unlocked." every time I prestiged prior to unlocking the universe at 1e100 prestige. I'm assuming it's because I had 10 super humans, which is what the guide says is the unlock requirement. Or I did, except I'm still getting the popup.
2) Due to itch.io's UI completely blocking the X on the universe menu, I decided to switch to the downloaded version, but my stardust didn't seem to carry over. Also, for some reason, none of the buttons on the universe page in the downloaded version are interactable except the X. Based on some experimentation, I think both of these issues stem from something involving the universe.html file. When I moved either the game or the universe.html file out of the folder, the universe page didn't load. I'm guessing the game is calling the universe.html file when clicking on the universe button, but since the universe.html file has no interactable objects, the game doesn't have any interactable objects except the X, which isn't from the universe.html file.
I'm pretty deep in the game (I'm up to 10 super humans), and while I'm really enjoying the game, I do have 1 thing I'd consider a major issue: Assigning humans/super humans really needs more options for how many to assign. I have OCD tendencies and want the number of humans/super humans assigned to tasks to be the same for each assigned task. Only being able to assign either 1 at a time or 10% of your current humans/super humans makes it extremely difficult to assign more than 10% of my total humans to a given task, and even harder to assign humans to more than 2 tasks (which also decreases my humans assigned to 9% each). There are other minor issues (as with any alpha build of any game), but this particular issue is the only one that hampers my enjoyment of this otherwise great game. I'm very much looking forward to where this game ends up going!
I encountered a major issue: Once I had more than 6 items unlocked (initially from data brokers), every further item is off-screen, and I cannot scroll down to see them. I need to zoom out the tab in my browser. And the lack of scrolling is exacerbated each time a new thing is added. By the time I unlocked the facility column, I had to play on 67% zoom to be able to see/buy safehouses.
EDIT: After getting the events column, Facility went off-screen, and I can't scroll left/right either.
EDIT2: I managed to get a bug where I retired all of my spies, agents, and handlers, which also reduced my max of each to 0, so all I had left was 1/0 spies. The ending screen also looks like you intended for some sort of interaction with it, but there are no interactable objects.
Some thoughts (written while playing through the game since it's short, though not in order):
1) Love the concept with the layering of parts as you progress. And both songs are great! I kind of wish they'd loop, though.
2) A volume slider would be greatly appreciated. It's quite loud in comparison to most of my other programs.
3) The ability to shrink the window and let it run alongside other programs would be nice, though since it's a short game, it's not too bad. I just like to have my idle games running at the same time as whatever I'm working on. It also made giving the next section of feedback trickier.
Music-specific (as a classically trained former music teacher):
- The snare on Dark Age was wild whiplash for me. Given it's just a few measures, I'm assuming it was an error?
- The rims in the following part of Dark Age would serve the song better with a different rhythm than the rest of the ensemble. A simple quarter-eighth-eighth pattern would help keep the momentum.
- Something seems to have gone horribly wrong with the keyboard on Dark Age. It is painfully dissonant (as in, I literally got a headache from listening to it), as if it keeps changing what key it's in. And sometimes sounds like a cat fell on the keys. And balanced to be WAY too loud. But the parts where it does mesh well work well, at least.
- The snare on Private Paradise is a bit quick for the song IMO. I think a slower regal march pattern would work better with the other layers.
- The keyboard in Private Paradise is wonderful. Though I'd recommend arpeggiated chords instead of the parallel fifths at the end. Overall, the piece is well made!
