thank you so much! If me and my friend did decide to make this into a legit game that would definitely be one of our first priorities, we just ran out of time (my friend had actually added all of the new abilities just a little bit before exporting the build so even I don’t know what some of the stuff does lmao)
One of the most fun card games I've played. I just wish there was more, lol. Voice acting was entirely unexpected but incredible, there's a ton of strategy (I didn't even realize that the "move card to the right" can also be used for sequencing the opponent's actions). Absolutely awesome, top marks in all categories from me.
I can definitely see a full version of this, with different stages, hazards, and spells. Extremely fun, though the audio is probably its weakest point (sound effects are good but a little bit repetitive, and the music doesn't seem to fit the vibe properly), though the gameplay more than makes up for it, nice job!
SCRATCH MENTIONED, IT'S PEAK, GIVE THIS ONE THE AWARD! Seriously though, this is one of my favorite rhythm games I've ever played. Mechanically it's super simple but fun, the visuals sync up super nicely (how in the world did you do that btw? Scratch is super hard to sync up to music, even with the timer) and the graphics are super appealing. Absolute cinema, one of my favorites from this jam.
I really, REALLY love this game. I love the warioware-style microgames for the defusing and having each sticky note stack on top of each other, graphics are overall just peak, but the bomb can sometimes spawn and explode before the case opens, which is unfortunate. Dying is funny enough for me to entirely forgive that though.
I'm a simple man, I see deckbuilder roguelike, I click. In all seriousness, this is my personal winner. I LOVE the mechanic that makes every played card take time instead of energy, giving a very different vibe from Slay the Spire or other similar deckbuilders. Also holy crap, the music is just frickin insane.
I really wanted to get more of that in the game too, but we ran out of time unfortunately… as for the story, there is LITERALLY nothing there lmao, I just told my artist “ok we need this pose and this pose and this pose” and she decided to make it pirate themed. Thank you so much for the kind words, I was really disappointed with how it turned out but you just made my day! (By the way, Deflect is just a defend that doesn’t last as long. It makes it so if you’re skilled enough, you can block an attack without needing to commit to a long block time- my friend added a bunch of the other actions so I’m not entirely sure what they do lol)
This is great! Level design and modeling is absolutely on point, though I have a couple critiques. The way the camera works is kind of annoying sometimes (maybe it's just cuz I'm on laptop though lol), and the last level feels a little... all over the place, like I don't even know where to begin. Other than that, incredible game.
