Ok! That game was awesome! I really appreciated the aesthetics. I grew up playing old apple computers in my elementary and grade school classes. So the graphics reminded me of old game like Oregon Trail. I'm not sure that was intentional. But I thought the music was amazing! It sounded like a bit crushed Moonlight Sonata. And just everything from the presentation to the spanish I thought were really cool touches. I don't know why but having spanish made it creepier for some reason. lol I guess it's because you don't see it too often. I loved it! Awesome job!

I'm so glad I got around to playing this game. I think it's totally full-featured. But I can understand wanting to work on it more. I love the avatar in the store front. All the UI fit together and felt seamless. The lore behind trying to achieve nuclear fusion made the whole ordeal feel important. I felt it was oddly educational because it's always cool when a game incorporates real-world elements that the player might not be familiar with like the periodic table and elemental weights. And I really thought the concept of Morning Starter being a frame to create a star and start a morning was such a cool and creative take on a theme and probably the most creative I've seen. I'm blown away with how thought out this was. I want to execute projects with this level of polish when I enter future jams.
You are totally right! It was a choice to not color code the keys. I purposely made the game confusing. There is a game I like called Gravity Bone. Itβs a FPS but when you press 2, it makes you think there should be a gun to switch to but itβs missing. I tried to do the same thing by having 3 keys labeled A, C and D with no B key. Looking back, I could have just made the doors and keys match >.<
Thatβs such a cool rating! Purgatorial was one of the first games I played. But I guess I didnβt leave a rating. Iβll go fix that right now. I feel like our games played kinda similar so your feedback means a lot. I didnβt have much interaction besides moving so Iβm happy it felt like an adventure still.
I am always going to be a big fan of recreating phone UI in a game. I think that brings up a bunch of interesting questions about what model phone it's going to be based on, what the app icons are going to look like, and what will it be able to do. It's always fun to test it out and see how much functionality it has. Nowadays, it feels like all I need to go looking for a job is just a phone. So this felt very natural. I don't know if you remember the old Game-and-Watch games on the gameboy color. But it has little mini-games about making a cake that this reminded me off. I also appreciated the variety of games and mechanisms you all put together. Overall, great showing.
This was very cool. I always thought it would be fun to work in a cafe. So any game where you get to be a barista and make coffee is very relatable. I like the whole bunny theme to everything. A world full of rabbits. I thought the UI was very fun with the coffee cup and holder. I like how frantic working felt. And it had a nice difficulty curve without being too overwhelming. All and all, super polished jam entry. Great job all around!
I got 2.67 km. I think that's pretty good, no? I liked the difficult curve. Whenever I would miss a jump, I saw the other path with more water bottles and kept thinking, there has got to be a way to get up there. And once I managed it, I felt like it taught me to have a better sense of the controls and how to combine sprinting with jumping. That was really cool.
This was such a good game. I really liked being surprised when I'm playing a videogame. So when I'm just jumping and platforming like normal and then all of a sudden, the game turns into an endless runner using the same platforming controls, and has pickups that add layers to the track of the background music, come on. That is so creative! Bravo to whoever came up with that. Talk about ambitious. I really appreciate the different ways you subverted expectations. Like with the start button at the beginning. All in all, great experience.
Heck yeah! I thought this game was very creative. I am very impressed by the mechanics you went with. How the mouse controlled the hand and you had to click to stamp papers made for a very cool game-loop. I was so focused that I was totally surprised when the candle went low. I would be so happy if I made this. :)
What a cool game. I liked everything from the graphics down to the Raccoons with Internet Access descriptions. I think you nailed the presentation and came out with something that was not only fun but highly presentable and polished. It didn't feel like a prototype but more like something finished and ready to be shown. I could totally see this being made into a longer experience.
I thought the controls felt tight. I liked how the jumping physics felt mixed with the speed of the dash and the pixel animations that went a long with it. It all worked really well together which is impressive considering this was a team effort. So kudos to ya'll for coming together to make something cool.
If I could have any kind of nitpicks. It was that the R button is so close to the D button. So I lost my progress on accident once. But that's splitting hairs. I thought this game was the best! 10/10
You are way too cool for saying all that. Yeah, the off screen UI was intentional. I was trying to go for something stylish and so far everyone tells me they think they are having screen issues lol. For the sound effects, I would use two or three sound effects together whenever I needed something and I think that helped sell it. I really appreciate you taking the time to play! Thank you.
Really cool concept and title! First off the logo design needs to be brough up. Most people didn't do a logo for the game because it deceptively difficult to make a good one buy you nailed it. I think it matches your game perfectly. I really like action RPG's so I'm a bit biased. But this game hit all the right notes for me.
This game is a certified classic. This must have been so hard to put together. All the different triggers and ways things have to be hooked up together. I wouldn't know where to begin coding a card game like this. And this worked wonderfully! I really like the items you chose for the cards like Apples and Knives.
This was amazing! I can tell you put a lot of work into the UI. The instructions for the controls were not only clear but pleasing to look at. I like the choice put images with explanation. When you get into the game, there are expansive options and they all animate well. The battle mechanics feel weighty and significant. And I'm always going to be a sucker for anime-inspired chibi-sprite art. Even down to the choice of font for the timer or the musical choices, I think everything was well laid out. Super fun entry!
