You might be onto something, because the traits do change certain scenes. I was gonna say they do nothing, but then I remembered.

Yeah, it does use Honey Select for almost everything visual. The characters, the locations, the animations, it's all Honey Select 1 (heavily modded). The menus, the text, the other technical stuff is Renpy. The cards of the characters (Honey Select uses "cards", images of the characters, and stores their info in the metadata) are not available. However, with a little knowhow, a lot of time, and a bit of luck you can recreate all of them.
