I actually haven't ever played that game. I just knew the quote. :D

Incredible. So glad to have quipped with y'all.

Oh this was so beautiful. It made me cry.

This was an incredible and relatable experience!  Love the music and vibe and everything!

Omg, I loved the story!

I'm a simple kind sage who made the Goblin King a feast of beef, chicken, mutton, fish, tofu, and beans.  It seemed like all was lost making it but it ended up being pretty good.  I'm pretty sure it was the fish that they liked about it.

This was super cute and fun!

Oh, thank you for the kind words!  We really poured ourselves into this one and I'm really proud of it

Oh, this is great feedback!  I'm still working on it so I'll definitely work on retooling it with that in mind.

I think maybe it was glitched for me.  It would alternate really fast and really slow. I got like 30,000 points :D

Nailed it on all fronts!  Excellent job!

Oh, this is a lot of fun and definitely fits the criteria of working well for mobile extremely well.

Great gameplay, really engaging.  Could use some feedback when you click the first ball in a pair, but this is really promising with a little polish.

Really solid gameplay and aesthetics. I liked it!

I wish it was a little slower to start but it's lots of fun when you get in the groove and go for a while.

This one was pretty cute and fun! Enjoyed the shot change mechanic.

Took a little while to get used to the controls, but once I did, I liked playing it a lot! Needs some polish, but has a lot of potential!

Okay, this is actually perfect.  Like, it hits on every aspect of the jam so well.  The difficulty is maybe a little too high with matches being so easy to get, but just an A+ game.  Way to go!

Idk if I'm encountering a bug but the game is extremely fast.  Like too fast for me to get more than three bounces.  Visually very cool and incredible that so much was done by someone who's 10!

Welp, I found my current favorite so far!  I'm usually not into clicking games, but this one feels really satisfying.  Idk if it's the aesthetics, the upgrades, maybe just the whole thing.  You took the theme, embraced it, and made a really egg-cellent game!

Had a tough time controlling it but wow, it looks and sounds really good!

Aesthetically very pleasing and cool and pretty fun too!

Love the visual style and sound effects.   The gameplay is very interesting and a lot of fun too.

It was indeed a feature!  In fact, you could damage the core as a player before there were enemies implemented in the game. :)

Hahaha I wish I saw this before starting.  I got there eventually.  Once I figured out the collision, it was pretty cool.  I felt a little lost about what did what in the heat of the roomba rampage, but it was fun. :)

Oh, this is very cute and fun!

Okay, the controls can be a little finicky and I couldn't seem to enter a name in the high score section, but I honestly loved this.  It's a lot of fun and kept me coming back for a high score.

Well, I think we did pretty decent for three days.  It's a little disheartening you didn't find it fun at all because I was really proud of the gameplay, but to each their own.

Thank you

But is that allowed for the jam?  Tracking high scores in-game is easy.  I just want to make sure I'm following the rules.

I'm struggling to find a solution for doing an online leaderboard in my game engine of choice, GameMaker Studio 2, for desktop (there are APIs for it for mobile but not desktop or web).  What is meant by offline leaderboard?  Like, just a high score leaderboard in the game itself?

Okay, I added another version with the keys highlighting.  Made sure to mention it's not for judging for the game jam since it was done after the jam, but if you want to check it out, it's v1.0 :)

I can handle most color schemes, including a dark gray background, but actual black with light letters gives me a headache and makes me see weird lines across my vision.

(1 edit)

Oh no, not at all.  I was just trying to explain.  You're good.

Like, I knew a lot of people weren't going to get it.

This was really cute for what it was.  I can't look at white text on a black background for long without eye strain, but I enjoyed the way the text worked with the sound of what I played.  At first, I thought it was just rock-paper-scissors, but there's more to it than that.  Very cool.

How did y'all get such high scores?? I thought I was crushing it when I upped the bird count to 100 and still scored so low on the leaderboard.  Anyway, really super fun and enjoyable game, had a blast.

There is also a timer that pops up at the end of a pattern to show how fast you did it ;)

I made it very small and faint to draw away from a competitive nature, because I want it to be first and foremost something to do more than something to play.

I wouldn't say not enjoying my game is a sign of neurotypicality.  I think it's just a thing that makes sense for me and I was hoping would make sense for others.  Like, sometimes I would type these things in a browser window over and over.  And knitting is very nice in a similar way.  And it's very much tied to stimming for me.  That's all,

Oh gosh, thank you so much!  I love your idea of highlighting the keys!  Gonna have to work on that!
