as much as they were mind control the way 0.2.0 is says that they are more or less staying the same
i do vaugely recall mention of how as a player you interact with them being changed mostly to make it less clunky and not having to open a powers screen to use them but honestly that might have been from somewhere in 0.20.0-0.22.3 and wanting to change that sort of thing might be a chunk of why the entire rebuild was started

so a new 0.2.0 build of the remake is up on substar and it is while certainly still different to the older build it is much closer and feels pretty faithful to the prior iteration of the game while including the newer mechanics and 0.2.0 ends off at leaving morgana's region and returning home
the whole island city feeling setting still seems a bit odd but the rest is very good i feel...
act 1 code being a mess is the main reason the game is being remade
how it turns out... well we will have to wait and see
sure i would have been more comfortable and certain if it was more or less only backend stuff and playing through would be more or less the same as the older build with only minor changes at most
but i will give it some time and see how things go
that demo has also received feedback that is presumable being taken into account... there was notable resistance to the fact that jessica's chest had been reduced and emma's chest had been significantly increased
based on the votes these are likely going to be redone to be more inline with the older version of the game

this is just a nerf to the main power of gorrilla arms YEET to actually get gems back to the maw
i feel if you want better gem towers then lowing the base chance to yeet and increasing it per carried ore would do better
then it could also justify the CD

the missiles have a finite duration
and you you make them loop once then they are more or less ignorable i found. mostly a threat coupled with any of the 3 heavy ship types
and the super heavy ships seaming to insta kill on contact
the main rare mod that felt underwhelming was recklessness (-5% hp and +10% damage) as a rare when there is armour piercing ammo (10% cannon damage) sure maybe recklessness is both turret and cannon damage but it still feels... not that worth it
and the only way i know of to recover hp is to with living steel (hitting 20% hp regens you to 50%)
maybe recycling should be a hp recovery not shield recovery but at lower numbers than 5% per stack of the upgrade
