Awesome entry! The game balance felt pretty good. There were a few times when I was panicking over my health bar and then I snagged a couple mutations at the last second.

I was excited to play a controller game but the R stick wasn't working for me. Aim was locked onto the mouse no matter what. Pressing E to mutate was tough sometimes when I was constantly moving; especially when I was chasing an enemy moving towards the top right

Fun game! The verticality element adds a lot. I liked most of the weapon variety but the dynamite launcher felt a little disappointing. Maybe it was a skill but even when I tried to keep my distance with it I would end up shooting the dynamite way past the group of mobs and it would explode in empty space.

Glad to see the multitasking/prioritizing element come into play! Thanks for checking it out :)

Thanks for the detailed comment! Sounds like you had a similar experience to some other people with the mutation point mechanics. I didn't want to put another big wall of text in the game so I put off making a tutorial for the mutation machine while I worked on other stuff but then I didn't get back around to it in time... Something to keep in mind for the next jam.

Thanks for checking it out :)

Agreed on the music; it could use a couple more tracks. I think I still hear it in my dreams after working on the game for long hours...

Thanks for checking it out! :)

Thanks for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed the variation in the crops :)

Yall really nailed the vibes on this one! And I like the minimalist gameplay elements. I could see this being expanded into a pretty good VN style game

Very well done ambiance :)

The various creature behaviors adds some fun gameplay. I had a UI glitch where some of my stat tooltips were showing up behind the icons for other stats and were hard to read

Really impressive atmosphere and UI polish. The lack of objectives didn't resonate with me; it would be nice to have some feeling of "progress" even if it's just filling out a log-book/journal

Fun little twist on the 2048 mechanic. For a while I didn't realize I was supposed to be collecting coins from the upper part, though

This is a solid entry! The upgrades and team building systems are fun. Could be a really great game with a bit of UX polish. Biggest improvement imo would be some sort of info panel or tooltip system for the upgrades menu because I couldn't tell what I was buying most of the time.

Great job distilling a simple mechanic down into something fun :)

The art and audio is perfect for the level of silliness

Great concept for a puzzle game and good balance between planning and trial and error. Had quit a bit of fun :)

Nice small twist on a classic :)

The gameplay was fun but I found the sound effects were extremely grating, especially on the how to play & end of round pages.

The art is fantastic :) I think the battle mechanic needs some amount of interactivity. I was more interested in just pushing the random mutant button over and over than actually doing battles

(1 edit)

Panicking with the mouse and accidentally yeeting my blob into orbit was funny. I like the cute art :)

Really awesome work! Captured the GB essence perfectly and I would love to see this redone in GB Studio or something and flash it to real hardware :)

Really fun concept! I think I know what the secret interaction but I didn't figure out how to do it :P

Audio and graphics fit the vibe really well. I found myself wishing the movement speed was just a bit faster

Well done! I agree with others saying it could use some more interaction but I enjoyed the concept and the assets were implemented really well :)

Fun game! A simple concept well executed with great vibes :)

Failed a round at first because I couldn't figure out where the antlers were :p

Fun little game and well executed! Great vibes

I would suggest an option to change the intensity or disable the CRT filter. It made it difficult to read the tech tree and hurt my eyes a bit
