(copy n pasted this from one of my comments) there is a way to turn it off actually! ^^ (for windows only i think)
go to the icons at the bottom right (wifi, sound, battery) and click it then go to the volume mixer at the right of the sound bar and click that too. you should see a paw icon as one of the apps and just drag that audio slider allll the way down. hope this helps!!
