Thanks! I'll have to think about ways to make the menu less confusing—my IRL beta-tester also said that was an issue.

Thanks!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the menu /tutorial—it's a bit unusual.

I appreciate the detailed feedback and I'm glad you liked it. (Let me know if you manage to beat the final boss.)

Really great! Nice clean graphics, everything is smooth, the controls are intuitive and responsive. I like the mechanic.  I think it is a 5/5 game.

I really like the concept. I think it has a lot of potential.

A sound and graphic effect when the brick hits you would be helpful.

The first time I played I got stuck and couldn't jump up because the walls were too high, and I got frustrated because I didn't know how to restart; the second time I got to the very top and there was nothing else to do—I restarted again. The third time I realized you can die if you get hit by too many bricks. After that I collected a few coins until I was trapped by high walls, then I just hid under a ledge and got super high survival score by leaving the game to brush my teeth.

I think there needs to be something that happens at the top, for when you are doing well, and also for when you are trapped at the bottom.

I think it would be good if there was lava slowly rising and you lose if it hits you. Also, you can keep climbing higher and higher into the next screens if you are doing well.

Overall I think it is a great idea, and the prototype works really well.

The style was really nice. I like the grayscale, the art, and the 8-bit style. The font and movement worked well with the style also. The art direction is really good. Controls are easy. Animation was smooth.

It definitely had a dungeon feel to it.

The "ding" sound surprised me because there wasn't any sound until then.

I think it is ready to have some puzzles or enemies or secrets or something added. There are a lot of directions you could take it. I think it is a really promising base to work from!

Hi H_armonixMusic,

My game is done. If you want to check it out and see if you're interested in making anything for it, let me know. (Of course, one day is not a lot of time to complete a track.)

Level 2 and 3 have the same music currently, so the best place to add a track would be in one of those two spots. But we could swap out any track, really. (I'd be most interested in swapping out level tracks or boss music and keeping the lobby music, bonus music, and win music.)

Let me know what you think.

Humor in the title and concept. Simple, intuitive battle-system; I like the idea. The battle mechanic worked smoothly. Personally I don't like clicking and dragging so much, but I still think it is a good mechanic (just not my preference). The simple visuals worked well together and it felt stylistically consistent.

I was a little confused at first about the direction of the stairs and how the player was moving from place to place.

I think a better indicator of completed doors would be a nice touch; instead of the door just being non-responsive, you could have a checkmark appear over it or or it makes a sound when you try to click it or a message pops up or something.

Great work!

The download isn't working for me. It says "Nothing is available for download yet." You might want to check the game page to see if something went wrong with the file upload or something. Thanks! I will check back later for reviewing the game.

I am working on two games currently. They are both halfway between prototype and MVP. One is a fun, happy-feeling twitch-based arcade game; the other is a slower RPG-themed memory game.

They both have tracks already that I am intending to swap out; the existing tracks give a sense of the mood I was thinking would be appropriate for the game.

I can share the playable versions of each game with or without the existing tracks, to see if you would be interested in joining for either of them as the music producer.

TITLE

do you mean for an intro screen?

It looks like I will have two finished games on the theme. Is it possible to submit both?

What's the game about? What's the title?

Really great game! Super creative. Solid execution! Great tutorial implementation. In terms of gameplay, there is something unsatisfying about not being able to watch the battle and having to constantly switch back and forth between the builds area and the battle area. I would have liked this more if there was a way to watch the battle and also to develop strategy based on how different appliances are performing, etc. Mostly this turned into just clicking as fast as possible. Maybe there are good strategies to use for this game but I wasn't able to figure it out--probably because I was just clicking back and forth so much and didn't have a chance to pay attention to how the battle was going. But overall I think this was a really great game. Awesome work!!

Really good! The sound was good but it broke my ears when it glitched. I think there is no way to restart a saved level? Really good though. Awesome work!

Great game!
