I remember this from when you shared for playtesting as well. Turned out great!

Wasn't planning on participating really, but when the theme got announced I decided to go for it anyway. There are some minor things I would have liked to take more time for but my Godot project is a real mess and I would have broken more than I fixed by that point. I think I ended up with a fairly polished small game in the end.

More importantly, doing these jams has really given me something back that I had lost over the years: having fun while making art and music without much stakes but with a clear goal, and having a finished product I can be somewhat proud of.

Here's some assets I didn't use in the end:

Fun game, especially with the changing perspectives! Sometimes it gets a bit confusing, with dead enemies staying on screen.

Awesome little game, on basically all fronts!

I played for a while but couldn't get the extra speed buff to trigger somehow, which made it really hard to dodge stuff and collect milk at the same time :( So I couldn't really progress past level 3.

In general  I think everything feels just a little too slow (up until the point I reached anyway). The ship could be faster by default, the milk bar could fill a little faster. That way progress would be more tangible. I personally would have chosen a more action-like background track as well. The current track kind of adds to the 'chill milk collector' vibe which the game definitely isn't.

I definitely think there's lots of neat stuff in the game! People just aren't getting there because it takes them too long.

Very nice. Beautiful art and relaxing to play!

Very nice! Great level of visual polish for a 3-day jam too

Thank you for playing!!

Love the goofy looking player character :D I think the hit boxes on the green spikes may be a little too big, it makes dying feel unfair sometimes.

Let me give you some cow lore. Most farmers definitely have necromancy skills, even though they will all tell you they don't. It's one of those farmer secrets. The greediest of farmers use their skills to bring back cows that died, because it's cheaper than buying a new one. Most cows go to purgatory, for reasons like stepping on a mouse, or pooping on the farmer during milking. Other cows go straight to hell. That would happen if they stepped on a baby, for example. In a few cases, cows have been known to go straight to heaven. But to be honest, most don't.

Thanks! I can recommend a zig-zag technique for collecting enough amethyst to get the 'good' ending.

Damn that farmer is brutal. Very fun game!

I will riot either way, just for the fun of it!

Beautiful game, I love the art style! For me, stirring the cauldron felt a little too hard with the percentages going back down so fast.

Love me some MS Paint art! The commentary the book gives is funny as well.

Love the art! Maybe worth mentioning somewhere that the typing is case sensitive. Makes it a bit more difficult, I think the game would be just fine without it!

I'm ashamed to admit I dodged the first milk carton I came across.

Love the crouch animation, but as  Prinzherbert said, it could be a little faster.

Good stuff! Felt bad hurting the cows though :(

This is great! Loving the milk pattern mechanic.

Fun concept & good implementation of the scene. Would love to see this with various buffs and a larger playing field!

Great concept, love the art.  A subtle grid overlay would probably be nice, but it's definitely fun to play as is.

Amazing. I'll be waiting for an extended version of this!

Rate my setup. The money counter couldn't really keep up after a while, otherwise  peak experience.

Thanks!

Nice little story. Feel kinda bad for catching the fairy :(

Beautiful!

Epic!

Beautiful illustrations!

Thanks for playing! You're right about the final screen, I just added one for when max. amount of eggs were laid. You didn't miss any spots!

I too, love big fish now
