Since everyone apparently appears to be looking for a team and nobody is assembling one, I have decided to make the objectively questionable choice of volunteering for exactly that.
About me:
- Basic Unity and C#
- Can use GitHub
- Have participated in exactly one game jam
- It did not go well
- Therefore, I possess valuable firsthand knowledge of what failure looks like
I’m looking for people who are also relatively inexperienced and want to make something manageable, do-able, and actually submit it.
An artist and composer would be especially helpful, along with anyone interested in audio, writing, design, or Unity programming.
My proposed leadership qualifications are:
- I can create a group chat
- I can create the GitHub repository
- I can keep a task list
- I can repeatedly ask, “Can we actually finish this in a week?”
- I am now deeply afraid of overscoping
This would be collaborative rather than “I have a brilliant idea and require workers.” We would choose the concept together after seeing what everyone can do.
Come join the world’s (probably) least overconfident game-jam team.
Hi. I am not the wizard programmer your prophecy foretold.
I am, however, a first-time jammer with limited Unity experience who would like to help a small team finish something playable instead of summoning the Scope Creep Demon on day 3.
I can help with simple Unity implementation, scene setup, UI hookup, playtesting, bug reports, task tracking, and small C# tasks. I am not trying to be the main programmer for a giant project.
Looking for a beginner-friendly team with tiny scope, preferably Unity, where I can be useful and learn how team development actually works.
