wow. This is very well executed. The scenes change soo smoothly.

Fun and so stressfull!

Nice to see how quickly you implemented improvements based on first feedback. You succeeded in creating an atmosphere that leaves an impression.

Congrats on your first release!

Hehehe! the animations make this fun.

One thing that confused me was having to figure out wether i should be aiming for red or blue on each step.
But once I solved that, repeating until the win was fun

The gameplay is good and (starting meta 3) unforgiving. I like it.

There's a lot in this game. Amazing submission.

Thanks for your early playtesting which lead to this improvement ;)
Congratz on being good! :D

You automatically "run forward", the player only controls steering left or right.

One buff makes you faster (becomes more noticable if you collect multiple)

One makes the paint trail wider

One launches some paint balls, creating tiny splats all around the map

One creates a large paint explosion around you.

Oh my. I cant for the life of me get all 6 frogs to land on a chest without messing up.
The voice message might stay a mystery for me .

Most soothing countdown voice!

Fun. Accidentally recreated the song of an icecream van and now I have a craving.

Thanks for trying! Awesome to read :D

I agree the menus needs some visual love, I'll give it a shot!

Managed to beat it :D

Hehe Ok. The comment someone made about "marrying the dragon" had me think I was somehow missing a crucial control.
Glad I found some coins along the way ;)

What am I missing? No matter which of the 4 choices I take, it's game over

It quickly gets to that right amount of frustation. Where you just want to try again and do better.

You could consider quickly highlighting the character that you missed if the time runs out.

Unique game, there's a lot of elements!
The instructions are shown too short for me to be able to read them - this isnt a problem for the intuitive minigames (motorway) but got me confused into the spaghetti game.

@Azial766 created the soundtrack and sfx specifically for this game, he's done an amazing job.
I added some credits in game to better highlight that and fixed the looping now, thx for the report.

Hope the speed didn't feel  out of reach if you were to practice it?

This is a very cute game!
I can feel the robot "try" to place the box on every wheel stop :D
Good animations!
I'd love to be able to move a box if I was already holding spacebar from before the animation ended.

Nice chill game. Very good use of the themes.

Prices of the agreements can be a bit weird as some were free :o

Flawless start to the game, nice storytelling and intuitive tutorial etc.
Decent balance in the units, as you get forced to use them all if you want to advance further.

I find the percentages a bit weird.
The counter for soldiers seems to always start at 20%, and when rolling to the next unit, it always starts at 50%.
Possibly something more visual than a number would help me perfect my releases :)

Love the teaser art.

Something about the background movement is making me a bit nauseous when playing. (old person problems?)

I didn't find any bugs trying to break this game :)

The early jump down feels good and I love the visual feedback when killing bugs.

I'd love to be able to restart by just using my spacebar.

The resolution does not work for me, so I can't play sadly.
Cant see my character

Nice to hear, I've revamped the difficulty one final time - quite happy with the gameplay now thx to all the feedbacks.

Also added some easter eggs today ;) curious if someone will discover them.

I'll focus on trying to get the visuals improved for the final day.

(1 edit)

I used libgdx for the rendering and game loop.

No game engine though. I'll open source it.

Edit: here's the raw codebase: https://gitlab.com/g369/deepdive

Looks great, and the sound effects are spot on!
Would like it to become more challenging
