After playing MSitDC, I decided to give some of your other games a go. Played this one today. Reminded me of  Eleventh Beast by Exuent Press, which I enjoyed. In many ways, I enjoy Pulp Dreadful more. I have a review of the game coming out tomorrow on my Substack. Up next weekend is Castle Nachtenthal

I am a big fan of your combat resolution. Having only one roll (plus damage) per turn really cuts down on the repetition that many solo games have (including ones I've designed). This resolution is so much cleaner.

Played through this last weekend and had a blast. I'm a big fan of the Dark Fort-style dungeon crawl games and this one did not disappoint. My scurvy pirate managed to get pretty far but succumbed to the Sunken One.

Awesome! Thanks for the answer. Looking forward to following the project.

Will this be solo-friendly or is it strictly group focused? I’ve just discovered you Pulp Dreadful games and am really enjoying them.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy!

I'm certainly glad that you enjoyed it! I plan to do more like this in the coming months, but in the meantime check out Cargoth and Sea Beast by Croaker RPGs

Thanks, my friend! Hope you enjoy it!

I’ve often wondered why we don’t offer e-reader versions of TTRPGs. I’ve seen very few…FATE Core is the only one I ever recall. Brilliant idea! I say go for it.

This is a well written project! I'm looking forward to playing it soon.

I really appreciate the kind words!

Thanks! I hope you get a chance to play it! If you want to see it in action, check out Croaker's RPG Corner's AP of the game here

I hope you enjoy! Thanks for the kind words.

Oh no! Keep your synergy! Unless you want a bigger challenge.

This made my day! Thank you!

As for your questions:

  • Honestly forgot about the RAW stance change rules. It’s intended to be how this one functions, rather than the default rules.
  • Any open, adjacent space. I will update the pdf to say this over the next day or two.

I have been tossing ideas around for a bow, but yours is by far better than anything I've thought up.
