I'm really excited to see more of this! The game feels so professional and well done, especially for something only made in a month. I love the custom textboxes for both characters, and the way John's portrait fades as you talk is a really nice touch. I'm also really fond of the art style in general. I look forward to watching this develop!

Edit: OMG you're the April Was A Fool artist????? That was one of the games that first got me into visual novels, it's delightful to see that you're still creating!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. I know certain browsers and Ren'Py weren't playing nice for a while there, but I think Ren'Py has patched that since. I've updated the Ren'Py version - hopefully that will help. If not, the downloaded version should still work!

Hey all! I am an experienced programmer, but still new to games. I've made 3 games so far, 2 visual novels in Ren'Py and 1 non-visual novel in Godot. You can find my most recent visual novel here on itch, and my other VN on my Github. I just finished Ace Jam and loved it, so I'm very excited to try my hand at another Game Jam!

I love queer dating-sims, cyberpunk/Shadowrun aesthetics and heists, self-aware roleplaying or video game characters, and high-fantasy! But really, I'm open to most things except horror or NSFW.
