So looking at the patreon, it seems that it's been updated with what they're calling standalone events. Basically, a renpy program with just that singlar event, like you see with Amazon island I guess. But these will only get updates into the main game when they're finished, or just get enough new content to matter. 

The version on patreon had a update near the end of April, I think related to the Gotham Content.
