This is a general issue with Detroit's "continue save" if the continue save is in the middle of a chapter. So if you finish a chapter and then quit the game the continue button will work just fine. It will just fail if you quit mid chapter and there is a save there. Then continue will not work.

You can recover from this by going into the Chapter list, selecting the last chapter you played and hit Triangle to start the chapter from the beginning and select "Save". Then you continue your story session from there and it will work keeping your progresss.

As long as you don't load a mid chapter checkpoint from the flowchart or use a continue save mid chapter it will be fine, so I recommend always playing a full chapter before exiting the game, while you have Mods installed.

Sorry for the limitation there, but unfortunately it is what it is for now. This is really hard to fix with how their saves work

Wow it works on a Steam Deck? That's awesome. Do you mean when you start a new game and the game saves and you load the save it crashes?

It's absolutely a fair point. QD has been quite relaxed about people making Mods so far and the game is after all soon 8 years old. I don't see this as much different as people selling free cam hooks and the like on Patreon, as I don't distribute core game files with this Mod either. But still, best to be pro-active you are right about that

Awesome. Great to hear it now works for you :)

Thank you for the report. I've identified and fixed the bug causing this issue on some setups. Version is now 1.1.0
