The waves of the pacing and tension are so nice in this! And that bar meetup was a great build up. You bounce from tense moment to break. To really tense (the outside fight with zane). To break, to tense with grey sludge (dig the cute-sy design on that fella). Its that feeling of once the mc loses that normalcy... its lost, you feel it in the scenes after. What some might feel like extra details, in ex. describing the work stuff, dumping down the drain, the refilling trash bags, or etc job points, actually sells me more on it. Puts me into that "pov". And it does have a point! And more so about the sludge monsters later on.
the style and vocabulary for characters had a good distinct separation. Zane really shines in this cat. for me. The way he carries himself, the topics he brings up (DnD, nerdy stuff, laughs at his jokes), the emotions he wears. excellent stuff.
For me i felt like the MC grew alot, especially from the cast themselves. But also Zane's stuff really battled for that spot light (in a good way) for me. Really enjoyed that coming together/reconciling at the end too. Was really getting afraid there for a moment about Zane's screen time. Like if you were building it up to some death flag for him in the final confrontation. All that happy! just to sweep my legs out last sec xDD
Cleaning "god" is a amusing/moe idea. Would hav loved to see some animation of some epic stand off show down with the team. Maybe have the MC come in to save someone if they picked the right choices.
The dialogue was very "people"-y, the topics felt explored but not hamfested. Real people, with real issues, doing real shit, going through life feeling things alot of us have felt in degree or fashion. Over all thoroughly enjoyed my time with project, could have kept going for hours and not noticed. Ty to you and the team for making this treat. Again, cant wait to see more for ya. You got yourself a fan with me. PS the gag at the end was a nice cherry on top.
