Thanks Mythic Moth Gaming for all your help! The session went really well - we had a mix of Mothership newbs and veterans and everybody had a great time. The immediate entry into the plush recreation lounge really sets the odd tone for the whole environment.

With the power off I had all 4 rooms unlocked initially which allowed for a slow tense investigation but did mean that when the power comes online nobody interacted with the door-lock-cycle. If I get a chance to run it again I would try it with one door unlocked initially.

Oh, one more question!

Wherever it mentions 'rounds' out of combat, eg 1d10 rounds to repair the generator, what duration is that? Mothership doesn't define rounds other than 10s combat rounds. Were you thinking 10 minute adventuring turns like D&D?

Thanks, that's the best possible outcome for me because I can just set a 15m timer on my phone and not worry about it!

Just prepping this for this Thursday. I'm slightly confused about the Lock Cycle. I love the concept but I'm not sure about the details. It mentions each room being on a 4h cycle but also each room unlocking every 15 minutes in-game. Is that because the computer gets it wrong after being restarted, or is that 15 minutes actually meant to be real-time (out of game) - or something else?

Is there a printer friendly version of the landscape character sheet that appears in the endpapers of the new hardcover? I could print it from the PDF but the background will be a waste of grey ink!

I played this game in a small group (3 people) and we all really enjoyed it. As recommended in the text, we drew a map of the garden as our record of events. The interleaving of imagination and drawing was really nice, slowly building up the details of the garden. The repetition of prompts during different seasons of the year helped to create a sense of internal story and continuity rather than a series of isolated events.

We managed to create a story that was cosy and quiet and a little bit healing, just by throwing strange things into the pot. Highly recommended.

Okay I will ping the shop first to see if they have it. If not I will follow up with my email address here. They had more copies of Notorious and Outsiders on the shelves so it'll be important for them to know in future anyway!

Edit: Yep, got access from the shop. Thanks for your help!

Is there somewhere to download the player sheet that doesn't involve buying the PDF? I bought a hardcopy from my local game shop yesterday but the written text seems to assume you have full access to the digital files.

Excellent fun to play with my pre-schooler. She enjoyed drawing the raccoon with a moustache, the campsite where it all happened and the cake that was to be stolen. I can't remember how it ended (I think she re-rolled for a better outcome, but why not?) but the journey was excellent.

(My only wish is that there was a good way to convert between Letter size and A4 for pocketmod format! Otherwise my folding ends up wonky.)
