Yeah, can't even finish a whole run cause it keeps crashing. Shame.

Edit: yeah checked the other comments and I am almost certain it crashes if you change cameras while reporting. Managed to get by without changing cameras but man this is really hard. The art style blends everything together so everything just "looks right" when missing or changed.

Not gonna lie, I don't even remember if there was a tutorial for it lmao

Either way, the ability to read any tutorial prompts after already going through them would be great. I just feel like the apartment should have some indicator for it like the shops, instead of just being "yet another building in a sea of buildings that look exactly the same". Or, like I mentioned a map would be nice to help.

If the map ever gets bigger, I really do recommend a map button to show where you and POIs are. I wasn't paying attention to the building you walk out of and my entire first day was spent walking up to random buildings until it happened to be the correct building (or at least give some indicator on the building like the photography and clothes shop). Being able to see where purple guys are/what "quests" you've accepted are would be super useful as well.

I also would like to add again like others have mentioned, it would be very useful to give some indicator of who you've already photographed, so you don't waste time chasing them down only to realize you can't take a photo. Maybe make them a different shade of pink or anything to indicate it.

Those are honestly my biggest suggestions, besides fixing the "getting caught immediately after hitting E/left-click" bug.

I have had multiple moments, both during the day and at night at windows where the game just immediately gave me a wanted star for no reason. (not in sight of anyone) I've tried both E and left-click and they both do it. It also seems to happen twice in a row (idk about windows cause I've never managed to find more than 2 a night) then starts working normally again. Will let you know if anything else specific happens.

Edit: to add on, I don't know if it's related, but I've also noticed some of the inputs being "delayed", as in trying to talk to a purple guy, then going to take a picture, then going to go home, only for all of those prompts to pop up when trying to go into the house, and having to go through each of them (even getting a photo even though it was night and I was at the door of the apartment) before finally getting inside. Or after talking to a purple guy going to take a picture can sometimes cause the purple guy prompt to show up instead of the "take a photo" prompt.

This is VERY much Shadow of The Colossus-pilled and I love it. The boss designs are cool, the heavy waves are cool, god the 3rd boss is downright beautiful. Game somehow also maxed out my 4080 which is a bit interesting since the game doesn't seem too graphically intensive. I do have a few gripes tho:

1. The boat is a bit annoying to drive, I understand that's the point, but it can be frustrating sometimes. I understand heavy seas are hard on boats, but it seems like the gravity on the boat is lowered and that causes it to very often "fly" off waves and then slam into the next one causing the screen to shake, which is very offputting and annoying. The "cruise control" of the boat is also annoying, the second you get on the controls, the boat stops until you hold W again, and I can't count how many times I went to run out to attack the boss only to realize I didn't hold W for a millisecond longer than I pressed E to get off the controls so I'm just not moving, or being pulled along by boss 4 (will get more into that). The left cabin door being closed is diabolical design, and made me almost always make sure the boss was always on my right side. It also takes a long time for you to pull out the harpoon once you get off the controls, making some of the split-second hits very annoying.

2. The first boss is okay, the design isn't too crazy, it's just a big fish, but having to dodge lightning, along with it being charged up, and then getting an EMP attack was very cool. It honing in sometimes felt a bit unfair and like you can't truly dodge it and its tiny head with the way it dives can make it very hard to hit the weak spots, but still a decent first boss in a game with an interesting learning curve.

3. The second boss was very good, you'd think the thinner arms are a bit harder to hit but you make them hone in on you so you can hit them to avoid hitting you. The attack that sends you into the air was awesome. Biggest gripe was that driving around it causes you to get "behind" it which can cause an odd feeling lull moment in the fight as the boat is relatively slow with the entire scale of everything.

4. The 3rd boss was visually stunning while being mechanically basic.  At a certain point it was just flying in circles high in the sky for like 8 minutes as I tried my best to snipe it out of the air, and I somehow managed to do it. Much harder to get hits on compared to the first boss, somehow.

5. And then there's the 4th boss.. which is definitely the most disappointing. I do like the "figure out how to start the fight" concept but it really did take me much too long to figure it out, especially considering how fast the thing is swimming around. It's extremely unfair that it can still shoot you with its cannons through its own body, yet the hitbox for you trying to hit it with harpoons is much too large in some spots. I couldn't tell you how many times I was being dragged along by the thing under its arm, while I am constantly repairing because the thing keeps shooting me through its body. I managed to get its health all the way to "nothing" (there was literally no red on the bar) and every time I would stun 2 cannons, it would immediately turn away from me, dive, and by the time it popped back up, the cannons were already done being stunned. I only managed to get the final hit on it because I just happened to be in front of it as it turned to dive and its mouth was open. EASILY spent the most time on this boss, and majority of it was frustration rather than awe like the others.

The sense of scale is incredible, I just wish I wasn't attacking with the slowest weapon possible; a throwing harpoon. I have been itching for some "killing gigantic monsters" type games after SoTC and this definitely scratched that itch. Hope you get back to it soon!

Right. Well I guess I should go list the random games that this game is better than because why not, right? Just grab from a list of currently popular games and say it's better. Yeah that's meaningful discussion.

what a pointless bait post. Not even close to comparable games.

I reinstalled windows recently, but this game was not installed on the C drive. I use the itch.io launcher to manage the game. I updated and launched it expecting it to still have its save files (since apparently they are saved in the game files not in any windows files) yet there are no saves there. I checked in the folder and there's nothing even mentioning a save folder. I was very far in and really don't wanna have to go through it all again just because the game updated. Am I missing something? How do I get my saves back.

Yeah I really can't find myself playing too long cause of the physics. Sometimes I will try my best to gently place the "fragile" items on the elevator or into my basket only for them to go flying off in a random direction and getting completely destroyed. Kinda demoralizing.

Also big one for me personally: pls add a motion blur setting. I'm sure people want other specific effect toggles as well, but motion blur is the most annoying to me personally.

I absolutely LOVE this concept tho. Please keep it up! Makes me wanna get back into death stranding lol

In 99% of VNs, you can press spacebar to advance the textboxes. I find it much easier (and it's much easier on my mouse click) to use a keyboard key to advance than clicking with the mouse. There aren't any control settings in the game, I found out that ctrl fast forwards (on accident, thank god there's a log lol), and spacebar clearly doesn't work, is there a button I'm missing to advance text?

Please make a starting page that allows you to change settings before just thrusting people into a cutscene. The game was completely borked, sitting in the corner of my screen the entire beginning cutscene, only to find out when I get into the game, pressing escape just closes the game instead of letting me change the settings.

The inability for people to read is astounding. Like it's genuinely impressive.

Gonna be brutally honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the H scenes, they are kinda low quality models, the dialogue during them is meh, and the animations get boring after the first loop.

That being said, the writing here is absolutely top notch (outside the H scenes), and I actually really enjoyed the RPG elements. I laughed my ass off at multiple times during the stories, and leo pointing meme-d every time there was a character from outside Konosuba. Great job on this man I hope you keep it up, and keep the great writing and add more RPG elements and/or levels and characters. Good job!

Download the Itch.io app

Go to this game in the app

Hit download

Go to your library, and play game

Please update! (and add a pause menu haha)

Would love an update for this, including songs that aren't just covers as well. The entire Holo discography is massive now. Maybe an "expert" mode where you guess who and the song name as well would maybe be interesting lol

Also more meme names!
