Oh yes, I definitely agree!! Reminds me of another game in class today that focused on a job interview, where lying is the only way to get the job at the expense of your happiness and wellbeing.

I agree! The narrative story telling is also super intriguing with just a short amount of simple sentences.

I agree! The money counter in the bottom right corner is also super helpful. All the little details are great!

This!!! I totally agree, the use of a limited color palette definitely established the identity of your horror text-based game. This was wonderfully done.

Like everyone else, I wasn't able to play your game in the proper amount of time. I'm very intrigued by the story so far. I might suggest adding a feature that allows you to skip the revealing of each word, kind of like in many other games such as Pokemon where you can press "space" to make them move on quicker if you are a faster reader, ect. Great job!!

This game was super interesting! I love the uniqueness compared to a lot of the others I've played today in regards to narrative story telling and mechanics. Something I would suggest would be to change the color of the green text- which is very bright against the white background, making it hard to see. Well done!

I failed several times to save my crew so apparently I shouldn't enter the marines anytime soon. I really like the mechanics and storytelling here, there's a lot of mystery and intrigue that I'd definitely want to explore more. I might recommend adding some backgrounds and sounds which would definitely make the game more immersive. Well done! :)

I got probably the worst score ever and from a perspective of someone with a learning disability, I absolutely despised your game. But as a game designer I really do like this formatting. It's super simple and maybe even enjoyable to others. It reminds me a bit of algebra 2 advanced, where I stopped taking math.

Until seeing the comments I thought that the only answer was gonna be just "5/5" for an ego boost. That would be something interesting to explore, where it's randomized when something retakes it each time. This kinda reminds me of the CDM 175 syllabus.

I thought my computer was gonna be chill but alas... it was anything but. (I got the bad ending). This definitely  holds components of general "AI" takeover. It also reminds me of "Get Out" where the mc is stuck in the back of his mind and paralyzed in his own body. (obviously that focuses on completely different themes but both gave me that scary vibe).

I really like your game! It's pretty unique from the other games I've played so far, utilizing both the random roll of a 20 sided die and the reflex timer component. The audio and images you used adds to the fantasy atmosphere. Well done!

This game was super interesting! I especially liked the usage of the phone ringer when you get the "bad bad ending" as compared to the silence of the rest of the game. Very well done with the ominous vibes and overall surrounding mystery.

This was super fun. Did you literally just decide randomly that you were going to do this for your project? If so- that's awesome and makes this game even more spontaneous and quirky. This is awesome!

I didn't get the chance to fully playthrough, but I love the visual graphics you used! The mechanics and story are already super engaging. I wonder, with the aesthetics and name, is your game at all inspired by Arcane? I love the steampunk components and your storytelling so far!

I love this game already! The characters seem fun to interact with and learn more about. You successfully caught my attention with only a couple short scenes, well done! I hope to play more in the future.

I love the mix of meme-like stock photos of stressful situations during the interview questions while the cheery music plays in the background. The options for responses are great as well, where I naturally lied my whole way through the interview in order to get the job. You did a great job criticizing ideals of a capitalist system such as the pressure to focus on work rather than personal health and wellbeing. Having the player get kicked out when they tell the truth points fun at the fact that corporate jobs do not have their employees best interests in mind. Well done!

I may be biased since I absolutely love dinosaurs but I really like how you created this environment! I almost wish there was more foliage to conceal the dinosaurs to make the reveal more immersive like in the original Jurassic Park.

I absolutely love this concept, creating a game through instructions introduced in a piece of literature.  There is something about this that almost breaks the fourth wall, the player entering with prior knowledge of an existing work that literally portrays the instructions visually. Well done!

I love how low the camera is, simulating a vulnerable child. The lighting was excellently done, contributing to the feelings of dread as some background noises fill the house. The yellow lighting makes me feel like we are holding a flashlight, exploring a dark and intimidating space.

This is such an interesting concept! I like how you slowed down the walking speed to allow for the player to properly take every detail in and appreciate the memory. The colors you used are also interesting, less saturated with warm colors up until the bright and saturated grassy plane. I processed the message as moving through time from a fuzzy memory into a bright future with green grass and clear blue skies.

The environment you've created is very interesting, and I definitely see the Davis dorm inspo with the carpet texture lol. The mystery surrounding the missing roommate is definitely intriguing, though I wish we got to see a bit more about this missing person that the player must have a connection to. Great work!

Your game is super intriguing for such a simple concept. The initial objective seems straight-forward but another layer is added with the second room, devoid of sound. I'm so curious if Mikayla will be returning in a future game. or what they represent, well done!

This game reminds me of a children's book with the simplistic a font and silly storybook type characters. The music supports the general mood, bringing a quirky aspect that highlights the humor, amazing work!

This is such an interesting concept! I love the animations and interactive components that highlight player choice. This feels like a critique on a capitalistic system that oppresses individuals and highlights the struggles of limited time within our lifespans. The message is great and the environment you created is so immersive, well done!

I love all the interactive features of your game! The textures and models you chose really supported the general vibe of the game, adding a fun exploration component to a relatively simple concept.

I really like the chaotic space combined with the dark lighting! All the kitchen assets are revealed slowly, making exploration a fun necessity. It would be super cool if you could jump along the cutting boards and use them as platforms to climb higher. Also I just love the broccoli forest :)

The sky texture is super cool! The perspective is also pretty interesting, making the player feel like a mouse or some other small creature scurrying through this odd, simplified open space.

I love the lighting and audio you used to convey an overcast almost chilly atmosphere. The composition really brings the player in to the towering woman at the far center.  This is a garden but also a graveyard, offering a spooky narrative that is yet to be understood completely.

I love the textures for each day/level. The visual progression of the dying bushes and less saturated sky push the narrative of a cycle supporting capitalists values. The repetition signifies that monotony of daily labor and the standard passing of time. Great game!

I love the chaos of your game, where it gets progressively more insane which each walk through. The red lighting really adds to the feelings of continuous concern. The door mechanic and animation is also really great!

I really like the narrative of beginning on the ship and descending down on the city with the audio change. The colors and textures are also really nice!

I absolutely love the different scenes and textures, moving through various spaces that differ in size and atmosphere. The narrative is super compelling, paired with text and sound to guide the player through this mysterious adventure.

The details, colors, and characters are so much fun, making the game narrative really stand out compared to any others we have played so far. The bright lighting and textures enforce the hot environment that the characters talk about.

I really like the details and message of this game! It reminds me of Project Hail Mary, with the photos of earth as well as the globe to connect the player to their home while isolated in space. The exterior really compliments the interior, which is void of windows and connection to what is directly outside of the house.

I like all the little details you included with your materials! The interior is decorated nicely but it's also crowded, definitely giving a claustrophobic vibe, pushing the general theme of isolation.

I really like the textures of the skybox and the mood it sets! Having the orange point light contrast the blues of the sky makes the atmosphere even more compelling. It definitely feels spooky with a Halloween vibe.

I absolutely love the creativity and how you constructed your structures from Unity's 3D assets. The fire particle component on the bomb has to be my favorite, adding a fun effect to the square duck!

The colors and textures are super enticing in the rather basic and repetitive structure of the backrooms. I love how you added easter eggs as well that aren't super obvious or necessarily easy to find.

The textures and atmosphere are very well done! I love the mystery surrounding this open city layout along with the cats and invisible barriers.
