the sexdolls remind me of stretch armstrong toys

man i figured the lore was a necessary part of any kind of game like this
sure, the spare parts are hanging around, but it's not their presence as much as it is their nature that intrigues me- if the lovedolls truly aren't robotic, but rather massive living plushies, then why would you need technical blueprints and shelves full of spare parts, along with obfuscated and complex machinery that makes no sense in a toy factory? if it were a sweatshop, shouldn't there be a lot more sewing machines and manual labor devices?
and the nature of the toys themselves shouldn't be overlooked either- what kind of audience are they supposed to be made for?
you don't just make a teddy bear with massive tits and sell that as a kids toy, at least not where i'm from
(for reference, just so you know what state of mind i'm thinking from, i'm assuming the "impurity" is like some sort of evil magic inhabiting the plushies, but the plushie's designs are an intentional decision made by the manufacturer)
i'm a little curious- in universe, how does a braindance work?
i know they're primarily used for adult entertainment judging by what's seen in knot city, but based off what's seen in the terminal, isn't knot city itself a braindance of it's own?
is it more like an immersive recording of a past experience, or does it more closely align with the "choose your own adventure" experience seen in the text adventure itself?
does this game use some kind of development kit or premade UI?
because i was watching this one 3FS video where he was playing this game called "the classrooms", and i noticed that the style and SFX and basically the entire UI scheme from that game seemed exactly like the UI from this game
this isn't about throwing shade or anything, i'm just very curious
