hello! i worked briefly on a game (only september) that i wanted to submit to this year yaoi jam (and for spooktober). but in the end, i didn’t like it so after i published it, i deleted it the day after. i think it was up for some hours only.

i’ve decided to push the game to the yaoi jam of next year 2026. would it be allowed to participate??

edit: to clarify, what i published back then was a really, REALLY tiny part of the actual game. that’s why i didn’t like it, so i deleted it.

OKAY, SO! I’ve played Demo 2.0 now, so I can finally say something about it!!! I’ve tried to keep this review spoiler-free as much as I could! Do tell me if you need me to hide it though!! ^^

• OKAY, FIRST OF ALL, I like the new design for Itsuru!!! I think I prefer this one!! 😁🫡 Not saying the previous was bad tho!! Just that I like this new one better!!
• The new scenes between Kotori and Itsuru are SO GOOD and sweet! 🥺 Before this Demo my fav characters were Kotori and Kazuya, but WITH THIS, Itsuru easily became MY TOP fav right now. Such is the curse for me to root for side characters, hahaha XD
• The new scenes explains A LOT OF questions I had before. But it was especially touching that when you check these scenes BEFORE Kotori finds out the truth about the troupe, he wants to use his power but it doesn’t work 😭😭
• THE INTRO SEQUENCE FOR WHEN YOU SEE MINORU AND SARINA TOGETHER THE FIRST TIME, that was like, BEAUTIFUL. and the timing with the music was perfect ✨. I do have to admit though that it does happen SO fast :c I wish it happened a bit slower to be able to see more the sequence. but i still like it!!
• THE BAD ENDING IS REALLY, REALLY BAD. LIKE, OH MY GOD. Poor Kotori, that was so AWFUL for him 😭😭
• Proud to say that I got the right choice the first time! 🫡 And THAT CG that happens after you got it right, when that person arrives and holds Kotori, OMG, that was SO DAMN SWEET and sad, i mean, look at HIS FACE, he looks SO WORRIED, OMG T-T
• We get to see more of Sarina! Her design is SO beautiful!! And it was a bit sad knowing that it was always her calling Kotori oniisama but not the other way around. :(
• I admit that I wished the fight scene had a bit more choices. And I think maybe adding more sound effects would have helped more this sequence! This is just me though! ^^
• So much stuff happened to Kotori in such a short time (poor him :c) that I wanted him to just relax. So I’m proud to say that I’m OK with the ending we got so far :D
• Oh yes, there were many instances where the dialogue exceeded the textbox! I’ll be sure to post it on the Discord when I have some free time! ^^

omg, I just read the script notes! 🥰🥰 it’s amazing reading the details about the script!! we get to know more about Akito’s personality 👀!! and, I agree that there are times in which characters DO act in their own independent way!!! even if we are the creators, sometimes, we just don’t know haha! 😁😁

OMG! This game was SO GOOD!! 🥰🥰 SO short but SO well done!! I admit I had troubles to make it progress at first bc the clicking didn’t work! But I solve it by using the Auto Forward option! 😁🫡

I have to say that showing which items you click during the game to show which ending you got is such a smart idea!!! Super nice detail and also, like with Taisho Romance Theatre, the GUI is SO GORGEOUS here as well!! ⭐😋 This was a real pleasure to read, so congratz!!✨✨

I’ve been trying to download this game since yesterday but I can’t 😭😭😢 It says the file cannot be found and I’ve tried 2 different browsers this time (firefox & chrome). I wanted to download the Full Bloom Edition (PC). Is there another way I can play or download the game? 😵‍💫 Sorry for this! 🙏🏽

I like this game so much!!I couldn’t stop myself from getting more and more robots helpers!! Simple and adorable! 😁 The sounds effects were also on point! Nice! 🤗

oof!!! What a ride!! 🫠🫠🫠 The calm beginning and then, holy, it really DID happen all of a sudden, it was like a BAM! 😩🥺 I was definitely NOT expecting that twist! It made me cry when he looked for each member through each door… 😔😔!! Or when he entered the last room and, oof! 🥺 What is going on? I still have so many questions (and I’m sure Kotori does as well!!).

Like I said, the GUI is simply GORGEOUS. It really gives the game a mysterious atmosphere and when the choices menu came up, THAT particular design is simply AMAZING!! 🥺 Design 1000000/10!! One single flaw I can tell is that a bit of the text sometimes exceeds the textbox, so some letters don’t get to be seen. I still understood everything though because in context, you understand what word it is. But I think it would be best if the text stays in the textbox 😅.

Btw, i’m wondering: do you have any plans for an inventory in the game? It’s just that, every time we get an item (which looks gorgeous BTW!!) I have this feeling that I want to check how many things we have! Or how many important things we’ve seen! So I’m wondering if we’ll have an inventory in the future. 🤔 It’s okay if not, but I just wanna know if it’s a possibility.

This is such an AMAZING game and I hope to see more!! ^^

oh my god, no, you can’t do this to me!! you can’t end it like that!! I was hoping to see them to meet again!! 😭😭

• the story, the narrative is so precious. I love it so much!! I can definitely see there’s a HUGE backstory and I already feel so sad for Alice!!! 😭😢 I can say tho, that this chapter is extremely short but I LOVE it! I really wanted to see more!!!! 🫢

• there’s something eerie about the artsyle 👀… please, don’t take it as an offense! I actually LOVE IT! Sure, you can improve it with time but… idk, the artstyle as it is now gives the story some kind of mysterious and anxious vibe, which is the state of the protagonist.

• one thing it did bother me was definitely the gameplay. it doesn’t have the basic features that visual novels usually have (save, load, return, preferences) so I was bit confused. It definitely took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to advance the story!

• I DO appreciate the fact that you can go back to the last choice menu (so you can see other endings) but I still think it’s kinda not user-friendly. You could try RenPy, which is a FREE software that comes with an user-friendly game user interface by default. You don’t have to switch the game to it if you don’t want to tho! It’s just a suggestion ^^

again, i really loved this story!! and I hope to see more!! ^^

Btw, I forgot to add that it’s impressive that you got to draw every single scene!! since there are no sprites, every scene is a new drawing and that’s pretty amazing!! 🤗

this was really addicting to play!! and frustrating when i lose :P it can easily be a mobile game too!! 😁

first of all, thank you so much for this tool! I really love it AND it does work! ^^ There are 2 issues that I’ve found tho:

1. The new update on Microsoft Defender deletes the program quickly, labeling the program as a virus, a Trojan (I think because of the .exe) and if I disable MD, it shows a Red Window pop-up warning, telling you there’s a risk if you use it. It wasn’t like this before, so this is definitely due to a new update from Microsoft on Windows. I know it’s not a virus but some people may think it’s one because of it.

2. The translated .rpy includes Tab characters and Renpy doesn’t allow Tab characters. This can be solved by replacing the Tabs with 4 spaces in the text editor of your preference, but it would be great if this came by default. But like I said, this can fixed quickly.

The atmosphere, the design, the art style, the music, everything here feels so mysterious and beautiful!!!! I wish I could play it but since it’s on chinese, I can’t do much but wait T v T

I don’t know why I loved reading this. I’m not that interested on old games but… reading this DID make me feel like I was reading an old game magazine!!! 😊😊 Ah, the memories~ I only got to read just a few when I was young but I remember them so vividly and this made me remember all of that!! ^^ SO thank you! :CCCCCC why did this make me sad? :C Congrats on your first game! It was short but good! 😁 And the main point of the story was really sad :c but I like to think, just like the horse, that everything is better somehow. At least, I want to hope so.

I admit the sprites of the animals look weird at first 😅 but, after a while, they look really sweet 🥹🥰 especially the expressions they make when they are sad, angry or sorry. I think it adds the emotions to the dialogue they are saying. ^^

hellooo!! I finally had the time to play Act 2 so I wanted to leave my comments about it! ^^

• I don’t think I’ve said this before but the backgrounds being just outlines with just a few color shades, really fits the style of the sprites and the whole aesthic of the game. I’m not saying a full detailed, full-color bg would’ve been a bad choice but… idk, I guess it reminds of manga panels so, it’s a plus for me :D

• Val looks specially cute during this trip!! <3 I really love his outfit :D!! So cute!!! <333

• I like that we know why Donna acts likes that with Val, I mean, if I didn’t know anything, I would’ve said that she’s being unfair because she doesn’t even know him and she’s already judging him harshly.

But knowing what happened, it’s like… I totally understand why she feels the way she does with Val. Even though, that’s no excuse to treat Dashiell the way she does >:( It does feel like she looks at him as if he were her doll. Or more like, a MOM feeling like she can control her son however she wants (which is worse 🫠🫠). Acting like she knows what’s best for him even tho he’s an adult himself. like, I get where she’s coming from tho. totally valid. but still, he’s an adult. he can make decisions by himself. be them good or bad.

• Oh boy, when Dashiell said he got a plan to matchmake Donna with Val it was like…..oh boy, you don’t know what you are doing. bless your innocence but oh boy, this is NOT gonna end well.

• I know we met Saturday in Act1 but in think her character shines more in this Act. She’s the first one to say it out loud: “I don’t like Donna” bc she’s right! It’s Dashiell’s boss in the end, so to be bestfriends with her and how much he idolize her since he was a high-schooler, it’s like… it’s still your boss. And that she has so much control over him (in a job and emotionally as well) could be a huge DANGER if she just changes her mind :// Such a clever way to see how dangerous was that, was like “damn, Saturday, you are spot on!!!”

• Also, she was like: “if she does something bad to Dashiell, we kill her” and Lupine was like “ok. count me in.” XDDDDD

• The scene with Lupine and Dashiell with the piano :’((( I 100% understand where he comes from when he says “don’t think. that’s bad”. and when he cried, it was like…. :‘c Man, no, don’t cry :ccc

And then,

• Donna pulled a gun on Val out of fucking nowhere, what the heck is going on?!!!! 😨😨

• Val was so right to tell her that shooting him right there would’ve been SO traumatic for Dashiell, after what happened with his parents like, holy shit– i’m glad she didn’t do it in the end but WOAH

• we finally see Val in vampire form!!! woah! 😁 so now, Dashiell knows the truth!!!! (well, not everything but the main point that he’s a vampire!!) 😌😌

• also, just to be sure, are Dashiell and Lupine trans guys?????? bc if so <33333333 🥰🥰🥰

so these are all my comments!! ^^ This Act2 is really where we see how the plot thickens!!! 🤔🤔 there IS a contrast between Act1 and Act2! You were right on that, haha!!😁 It was a pleasure to read this Act2 too! What’s gonna happen now that Donna has decided to look for her “friends”? Hmmm. 🤔

Hi!! i wanted to try out Act 2 but i didn’t want to be confused, so i decided to play Act 1 to understand the storyline :o!

the good thingssssss:

• i love this vintage shoujo manga art style! it just makes me feel like i’m reading an actual shoujo manga from many many years ago! i honestly love it! ^^ and i think it fits the story as well!!!
• i love the dialogues!!! the conversation between characters are really so sweet and it does make you care for them ; v ;
• the power of friendshipppppp!!!!! i’m sorry i just love how everyone care about each other <3 especially knowing this-important-thing about you-know-who 😞😓
• i like how the protagonist really do care about his clients and his friends and i understand why people feel comfy with him talking about their feelings c:
• i really like how in the beginning it’s not really clear if he’s really a vampire or just playing the act of being vampire (like a dom with a vampire setting). but then i realized that he can be both :p
• and yes! it was a good thing that i read this Act first. i don’t think i would’ve understand Act 2 without this previous context xD

now, here are some things that i believe could be improved:

• i think this is a bit obvious but….it really was a trouble having to download the game from an external site 😵😔 usually, people don’t download games from an external site because it’s suspicious! it may be a virus! fortunately, this did not happen with this game ^^! but i STRONGELY suggest you to make the game available for download here on itchio itself! i know there’s a 1GB limit here but i believe that if you decide to do this change, it’ll become easier for ppl to play the game and it’ll give players a sense of security as well :D
• i know it’s a kinetic novel but……i felt like you could use more the visuals of the game. at certain points, it felt as if the images didn’t help the dialogues between characters. like, the conversation is interesting but then i looked at the characters and they were just standing there…. like, i feel like the visuals should help the story and not be left out of the narrative c:
• i’m not sure if this is a bug but when i tried to save, it only saved the date and hour of the game, but no screenshot :S
• the font-type of the story wasn’t really that much of my liking :c maybe this is just me but it was a bit of pain reading with this font-type 😟 still, i could read it all but i had to get my eyes used to it at first xP

i think these are all my suggestions ^^

overall, i liked this game!! ^^ it left me with a sense of being cared and listened when you see how everyone treat each other <3 and to see how Val treats with care people around him, it’s nice seeing this <3

The artstyle is so cuteeee!! It’s the first thing that drew me to this game, and the GUI was cute as well! ^^

It’s a funny, relatable short game about making friends and I have to say that my favorite ending was Benji!!! His voice is marvelous!! and srsly, he’s just not “very rich”, he’s a freaking millionaire!!! bc he even has his personal butler??? NO WAY.

also, it was fun picking the mean choices, especially with Drusilla XD I just left her on her own the moment we were about to get robbed lmao xDD BUT! ALSO! The part when we suddenly get kidnapped????? what was that??? we got kidnapped to have a tea party with a strange man???? that was a bit dark tbh :o!!

overall, i liked it ^^ the VA was RLLY good and it made the game a pleasure!! also, the narrator is such a bully >:c

I finally got the courage to play this game bc any story that involves animals that could possible DIE makes me go :’((((( BUT! I did wanted to play this game bc the premise is really cute!! <3 And I’m SO GLAD that I did!! It was really cute!! I managed to get all the CGs!! ^^ And the lions just bonding with each other are so CUTE ; v ;!! YES!! (IT WAS SO FUNNY WHEN I HAD TO SAVE RED’S BALLS!! LMAO)

it did leave me wanting to know more about this Africa World?? 👀 👀

I also have to say that the GUI was really GOOD. Real GOOD! It really felt like it was a data logger (Data Lion 👀), and the sound effects really helped to create good scenes!! ^^
