I’m looking for people interested in helping with programming, art, animation, sound design/music, UI, level design, or general game design. The goal is to keep it fun, silly, and achievable within the jam timeline.
My idea is called To The Other Side: a chaotic multiplayer game where up to four players are chickens trying to cross dangerous, heatwave-soaked environments to reach an oasis on the other side.
The first level would have players crossing a busy desert highway while dodging cars and trucks. Players can cluck or use a loud “BAC-KAW!” to warn teammates about incoming traffic, and shoot eggs to push friends forward, save them, or betray them by knocking them into danger.
The heatwave theme comes in through mirages. Some cars, obstacles, safe paths, or even the oasis itself may not be real. After reaching the “oasis,” players discover it was a mirage and move into another overheated setting, like a grocery store or mall with broken air conditioning.
