After trying re-install and then un-install then installing again I can confirm the bug still persists the demo is effectively bricked for me at this time.

Just started a new game after installing the demo, and immediately after starting a new game it fails to load the character on the start up scene/sequence, only giving the option to retry with no success, yet at the time of this posting it made the demo immediately unplayable. I will try a re-install and see if it was perhaps the problem with the download meanwhile.
Just letting you know I think I found a bug, at random points during gameplay the game stops responding to any inputs. Will be unable to move the character in the overworld, or open a menu or during battles cannot select any option or progress pages in scenes. I have not narrowed down any pattern yet. Only solution is to close the game and resume from previous save so far.
