Hi ishvii. Those are all the ships for now. I have 10 more; they are finished, but they are not ready to post yet. I've been very busy working on an update for another project. The new ships will be available by the end of this week, you can check back later. The screenshot will be updated and there will also be a blog post about it. Have a nice week.
Never mind... I just saw the button named FIRE. I can fire now. I played a little and docked at some stations. Some suggestions:
- Reduce the number of stars to 1/3. It looks too crowded right now.
- A better starting ship. Doesn't look that good, to be honest. :(
- Don't use ESC to get out of menus. I'm playing on itch.io and ESC keeps getting me out of full screen.
- Why can't I break? I should be able to move backwards. It's very hard to control the ship right now.
- Increase the range at which you can interact with planets, stations. It doesn't need to be realistic.
Good luck with your project. Keep improving. And get these planets if you can afford it for better visuals. ;)
Thanks, Byron. Yes, will add more parts, but first I'd like to do some stand along ships. And I hear you about the aliens; will do. About your project: I could move, but couldn't do anything else, like fire my gun. Is there a key? Looks like it was made with a controller in mind, and I don't have one.
Hi Byron. I only use Unity, so I might not be the best person to answer your question. Any engine that can load sprite sheets should be able to use them just fine. However, I think you manually have to slice the sprites. Just to confirm, are you asking about this problem or the color variations? If it's the slicing problem, would having each sprite separately would help? I'll try to do that, but it depends how fast you need the ships.
Well, I was thinking that, when I reach the bottom, it would take me to the next map. Another house and better resources (+ the basic ones). If you don't want to add a teleporter, or it's too hard to do it, I would just upgrade the little man to move faster - that could work just fine. Or have a teleporting potion that you can buy for 30 or something. When you press P it teleports you home. Maybe. 😜
Played for about an hour... Reached the bottom of the map. I had fun playing it. Buuut... there's no ending, no goal. I did enjoy getting loot from the chests and upgrading my little man. I need a teleporter so bad. 😅
I see someone was complaining that you can't dig up. Well, I guess you updated it, cause now you can. I have one suggestion: I didn't use torches much cause they are too expensive. You should reduce their price and shrink the light around the character to 'force' the player to buy them. Otherwise, they absolutely get ignore. Good job, nevertheless! I hope it gets updated sometimes.
Hi. Played for 2-3 hours, thanks for a great time! Found bugs: 1. Abilities 1-4 (bottom) are missing, even tho I upgraded them. 2. After level 70, it stopped giving me cards. The XP would go up tp level 30K something (under the turret) and then will restart from 0. No more cards. :(
Love the backgrounds change for each 20 levels. I would love some sounds, but the music is cool. The starbase looks too flat for my taste, but overal it's a great little game. 10/10 would play again.
That's a start, keep working on it. :)
I saw you're using Unity, so you might wanna consider updating your project with my package. Some suggestions about your game: search for a seamless space background and use some better rocks. You can find them for free; there's a big world of free assets out there. Good luck with your project and have fun learning!
Hey Kananesgi. Thank you for your honest review, I appreciate it. I'm happy to hear you didn't even need to watch all the presentation. The ship looks good, it's definitely something I would use. Anyways, I wish you good luck with your projects and keep practicing, since that's the only way to perfection. :)
Nice one! I see potential in this game. First, let me start with what I liked: love the music. Love all the Achievements: that's a lot! It feels cozy and chill playing; as it should. I don't like that, at some point in the game, everyone moves toward you in a circle and kills you.
That being said, I have a big problem with ALT+TAB or any notification during playing—makes going back to the game almost impossible and I have to quit. The stars that are on the same layer as the ship should be on a different layer. Why is the screen square? Try to make the game more modern. The upgrades that you get when you kill a big ship have no description (says Description here, LOL). I think you should keep working on this game, it could be a lot of fun. Absolutely loved the light saber on the first ship. WOW!
