i absolutely loved this little thing. usually for a Dead Wife scenario like this the story needs to spend a lot more time with the eponymous Dead Wife and their Living Husband/Wife for there to be emotional resonance, but in the case of our little beckett it was not necessary at all. i can't really pinpoint any flaws, glaring or not, with the writing - that's probably because of how short and sweet this vn is. it's pretty excellent really. i also liked how the story gives us a choice for what beckett does - i imagine he goes through all 3 before settling on acceptance.
the art is simple in a way that fits the story's brevity, and i particularly loved how creative the author was with the sprites, like beckett being transparent and floating & rhett wagging his tail (cute!). as cardigan below said, the blocking and composition were excellent, which i think more than makes up for the simplistic art. if i had to scold this vn in any way i would just blow my shit smoove off.
+ bonus points for the itch page's presentation, it's really swaggerful.

sweet little vn. i love how much of a hater dominik is. old man's just FED UP with people's shit
as for feedback, the final illustration had dominik hidden behind the text box. you could've moved the entire picture up to show both martin and dominik and get rid of that wasted space above martin's head. but other than that everything's sweet
edit cause i thought up some additional feedback, this time for the writing: the pacing was excellent for most of the story but the final musings between dominik and martin felt really abrupt. they could've used some more screen time
