How do I transfer my saves from 0.8 to 0.11?

Regarding the prologue - will we have to start a new save, or will that content be available anyway? Restarting is an immersion breaker for me, so I’d be glad to not do that, if possible. But I want that content.

There’s a lot of content, and I would argue it’s among the best content on this site. Definitely try this game :) The updates are few and far between, but there’s a lot of it in there.

I assume it was only released for $20 buyers? I can only download version 0.20 right now as a $10 buyer.

Most likely the download was interrupted and the file is corrupt. Remove it and try to download it again, should fix it!
