Thanks! Most of the art was actually from RPG Maker art packs I bought that are allowed to be used in other engines!

True, the camera stuff is the built in engine stuff of CopperCube and the jumping especially it's not very good at by default I'm not sure if I'll update this game much but in my future games I'll try to make the camera better! I do the jams mostly just to get new ideas and keep myself motivated I'm working on another game already without any time constraints so that's where I'll really focus on the camera and movements etc. I was thinking about a free cam mode like you said like Ocarina of Time or something but just didn't end up having time I kinda made the levels too big maybe
Thanks for the feedback. Makes sense to me tbh I was kind of just inspired by some Quake 2 levels and trying to mess around in that style I didn't know what to do for the theme exactly. The combat isn't that great in general because I was using the built in CopperCube stuff.
You have to find all 3 Cyphers for the end to open up on the first level, the beam that lifts you up was just added in for fun lol but it does seem important for no reason haha. The charges are actually usable in the last level if you can get to it which is supposed to be kind of like a hidden reward. Also if you hold shift to run before you jump you will go higher and not get stuck but then again I'm not sure what hole you mean really I did find a few places where you can just escape the bounds of the map already but didn't have enough time to fix them. I assume you mean the hole with the red light you should be able to jump out of that holding shift. Anyways thanks for actually taking the time to play it and glad you liked the art style I'm an artist so that's mostly what I'm good at still working on the mechanics side :)
every Game Jam is a super good learning experience it helps big time!

Gonna check out more games once I get some rest!
Huge congrats to everyone who submitted! We made it, y'all! I’m finally sitting here catching my breath after hitting that submit button, and man, what a blast that was. Had so much fun working on this and seeing everyone else’s vibes in the community. Don't usually have a ton of people playing my games but it's about the learning process anyways and truth is Game Jams are one of the best ways to learn really kicks you into gear...
Anyway, I wanted to share what I’ve been cooking up! It's like OK here we go.... so like you are this crazy kool dude that's basically a robot and you have these camo pants you can punch stuff right away or find the laser goggles at the start of the level and now you can PEW PEW. But what do you pew pew? DROIDS? GET CHARGED! I MEAN CHARGES! Yes electricity bzzzt bzzzzt yikes and that tar. What tar?

Oh well! First you start in THE BOXROOMS and if you are LUCKY ENOUGH to get out of that crazy limb-inal or whatever and get through the maze and defeat the droids well.. anyone else kinda stuck in nostalgia like the AVGN? 1998 was peak gaming you know and graphics never got better since then or something.... or it was all about gameplay. Playing those old games just the creativity they had it shocks me like electrical charges... ones you collect like coins in a game with a plumber... hmm....
And... your reward is the SPIN FACTORY. What a place that is—you might end up cooked to be honest, by an inferno processing plant that refines the green embers of humanity. Or something like that I'm getting ahead of myself. What is story anyways? This is about finding the end of the level! The uncanny challenges the arenas with multicoloured walls and is there secrets in them or what?

And that's it—the whole time you are collecting electric charges and end up at the CHEMICAL APEX where you might finally find out what they are used for...

That is if you even get that far.... well anyways make sure to spin with WASD or the arrow keys to aim at your target, use shift to run, space bar to jump, and that's about all you need to know to get started.
Definitely feeling the post-jam exhaustion but also super pumped to play everyone else's games when ratings open! Post your links in the replies if you want me to check 'em out, let's gooooo! What inspires you to make games? For me it's the Golden Age flipping around collecting stuff and fragging mobs.... here is a link if you wanna check it out :)

Thanks for checking it out! I thought maybe the cutscenes were too long I could shorten them mostly I was trying to match the length of the music but I could worry less about that and just get on with the gameplay more.
Also yes the narrator was AI and probably does sound a bit robotic I could try to maybe get a voice actor to redo it and maybe also make the script a bit better too in the end. The idea was a sort of Familiar that guides you through the game.

It's called LIVESCREAM DOT EXE
It does show up in the scripted actions but for some reason it just stays fully transparent once I put it to (transparent add) with a black texture. Once I put the shader on it stays transparent but I can't see any of the shader stuff. I tried changing it back to solid to see if it's in front of the camera and it is so I'm not sure what I did wrong. Pretty much I followed your video exactly so that's why I was thinking it must be something wrong with my graphics settings idk. Don't get any console errors and I made sure it's openGL both things so it SHOULD work I think but for some reason I don't see the shader effects
