So cool! Love to know what happens next

The linux version has a bunch of weird dependencies and won't run unless they're installed, like openssl 1.0 instead of 1.1, and specifically the gnutls version of libcurl???

Yeah I ended up just using the windows version through wine, which worked fine.

Arch Linux user here. Yeah, so, the game crashes with a SIGSEGV when trying to leave the office, 100% of the time.

Linux support already exists, the only reason nobody can use it is because you disabled it. Which is really annoying. Every other Ren'py game supports linux, but you disabled it for no reason.

What do you think you're testing? Is your game doing something special that nobody else is that somehow wouldn't work on Linux? Because if not you're just testing ren'py itself, not your game.

I *want* to play the game, but you've chosen to make it impossible for me. Your game already fully supports linux, but you choose not to release it.

Thats a fancy way of saying "I don't know what i'm doing and i'm a terrible developer".

Ren'Py supports Linux. Python supports Linux. The only way Linux wouldn't run is if you were doing something seriously wrong, which apparently you are.

No other Ren'Py game has this problem except yours.

What gave you the idea you need dedicated "testers"

Linux is well supported by Ren'py, and even if you somehow managed to screw it up, somebody would tell you. And thats a big if, you'd have to be doing something really wrong there. Like not supporting it at all. Oh wait.

How in the world did you manage a Ren'py game *without* Linux support?
