I'm actually a comic artist who is remaking a large idea of mine into a visual (kinetic) novel with a specific timeline/interaction mechanic serving the player experience end of things, because that was the major issue I was *having* with the comic format alone.
While I'd love to and have always wanted to make animated films, the VN format I believe can get me pretty close and is much more practical for a solo developer. (who has the "I like to suffer creatively twice" artist/writer problem lmao.)
Your assets and information have been very helpful as I've been learning Ren'Py and working through what I can do and build on that side of things. Your words of encouragement are much appreciated 馃┑
