Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and suggestions! We discussed all of this last night, and the pain points you encountered are being prioritized for the next build.
To reply to a few of your comments:
- It's great to hear your feedback on the music! We would love to replace this with an OST later in development once our universe/gameplay is a little more defined. It's very tricky to find third-party music that fits and goes well with the other soundtracks.
- The Gravity Well Tower was definitely pretty powerful in your playthrough! It has a "mass limit" that typically only allows it to carry a limited amount of things, but this limit is clearly set too high for these early waves, lol.
- The relation to Portal is a bit tricky, of course, but I love that you're thinking about these things! We're both huge fans of the Portal games and think their universe's charm is very fitting for this type of physics game, but we also want to be respectful of their IP and create something new. Over time, I would expect the visual relationship to their universe to soften a bit, but we absolutely want to find new ways to capture that charm.
- We love the idea of new game modes and are actively evaluating where they should live in the game. Your suggestions are a really cool twist on the game's mechanics, and we're excited to test them out!
Again, thank you a ton for playing through our game and for being patient with the issues! This has all been so helpful. We'll definitely keep in touch!
