Will itch.io still be getting updates or is it abandonware now? And what about people that purchased the game here on itch before it went free? Any chance of a steam key or anything?

As well on the steam thing, if you do go forward with that will there be a version coming to itch.io as well? I’d love to purchase it here on itch and avoid having to deal with the Steam launcher.

That is very unfortunate to hear, I hope you are able to get something figured out for supporting yourself (I know patreon has a shop option now, idk if ko-fi does as well maybe?). Hopefully itch can get something worked out SOON for adult content creators.

Purity Spiralling at a time like this with the future so uncertain doesn’t strike me as the brightest thing to do. Wouldn’t a better thing to do would be to try to ensure such a site is less fascist over time, rather than going “ALL THE ALTERNATIVES ARE FASCIST SO JUST GIVE UP”? Posts like this are kind of horrible. Not even any other alternatives suggested, but just complaining about fascism at a time when action is needed.

It’s been hit multiple times. Idk why they single out that site in particular but I’m glad subscribestar and other alternatives exist.

With itch purging NSFW content right now, is there a downloadable version somewhere?

There’s been a handful of reports of a FEW games/content being outright removed, and people’s access to the files they paid money for removed as well. Will those affected be getting refunds with this removed content, particularly in areas of the world that legally require this such as the European Union?

I have some NSFW games I have paid for myself that so far have not been outright removed, but seeing this happen with even just a few worries me greatly as someone that has purchased content from itch.io.

Patreon (and Gumroad and a few others) were hit by payment processors last year, I switch to subscribestar myself because of that. Sadly patreon is not an option either, and yes, “shut them down because people are “paying” for free files???” is exactly what happened to many artists there.
