this was lovely!! 🫶 really hits home as someone who's struggled with depression & suicidal thoughts. the visuals are gorgeous, and the writing is stellar-- it scratches an indescribable itch for me. sad that both endings are so bleak :(
"suicide is never the answer" and "it gets better" and the like sound like white noise after a while, but they're true! "today sucks! tomorrow might not! only way to find out! be there!"
the religious elements are also super... (i mean this in a positive way!! i don't have a good adjective here...) well-written, and interesting to read, and relatable, i guess? i don't think there's one singular word that encompasses all of that, lol.
fave part was "The foundational elements that the world is built upon are... smoke, metal, plastic, meat... and a fifth thing... what is the fifth thing?" i don't know why it's my fave, but it is!
