I've tried Firefox browser as well, along with turning off extensions and trying itch.io's alternative download mode. Still couldn't get it working, and I could download other itch.io games fine.
This is the error message I received from the itch.io desktop app: "The request signature we calculated does not match the signature you provided. Check your secret access key and signing method."
