Lovely comment! Thank you so much for playing :)

How did they even find this one? Was it ever distributed online?

Wow :')

It makes me so happy that my game reached you so deeply. Thank you!

I'll watch that one soon :)

As I worked on the VN, Dolls from 2002 kept coming to mind. There's just something about the scenery in that movie, you know? Like, overwhelming. The characters are so small, surrounded by these beautiful, uncaring environments. I wanted to capture the same feeling. I wouldn't say I was directly inspired by anything. This story is just something I've had in my head for a long time. No, actually, I was inspired by the game's soundtrack. I wanted to capture the same feeling I had while listening to artists like saliclaire. It's like, the music is so dense and it *sounds* profound, it just seems to hint at a deeper context, at a little story, at a setting. I dunno where I'm going with this! Visually, there's something there comparable to In The Mood for Love. A sense of peeking into two characters' worlds, you know? Their little secret, and we're just watching. It makes it feel more intimate and romantic.

Anyway, thank you for the movie recommendation. :)

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it (:

Thank you so much! I'm so happy to see someone affected deeply by something I've made. I had this idea of communicating a feeling of warmth through the entire process of creating the game, so it really pleases me that you pointed it out. I hope the final product can reach you in the same way. Thank your playing :)

Just really striking. So effectively communicates the disconnect a person experiences when presented with nonsensical societal rules, with a world created against them. Other people, incomprehensible even in compassion. Loss of individuality, denying yourself, your wants and needs, for the arbitrary "greater good."

damn

I still think about this review often. Thank you :)

door game!

this comment sounds negative but they're all positives

What a dreadful, utterly tedious experience. There's nothing here. Drab visuals, boring characters, barely any gameplay. Playing this, I feel soulless. It's a perfectly accurate depiction of an empty life.
I got to the bench in the forest with the red-haired coworker and quit. I don't know if the game has an ending, but I'm content with that.

10/10

loved this one lots

I loved it

Thanks. Great work so far!

thank you :) I always forget about them too lol

Is Jones bugged? I can't collect his mask in Full House

Thank you. Glad you liked it. :)

I loved it. There's a very tangible but indescribable sense of emptiness here. Loss, maybe. I don't know, it's hard to pinpoint.

Good work.

Happy to hear that! :)

You’re one of the few people who have downloaded the demo in quite a while.  I'm never really sure how to respond to positive comments. I don't think anything I say can do your comment justice, because it made me realize I’m making something meaningful. What you’ve said encapsulates exactly what I’m trying to reach with this VN -- aesthetically, narratively. My goal, ultimately, is to have my work truly speak to someone, even if it’s just one person. Thank you.

Dope game.

The bar feels less like a real place and more like a strange kind of purgatory. A small universe detached from reality.

The mass of people inside is almost a force of nature. It moves and flows, both reacting to the main characters and ignoring them completely. It's chaotic and oppressive, like being carried by the ocean.

It's a narrative that feels hectic, febrile. Hot. It feels hot; you feel the overwhelming heat emanating from the people, the walls, the chaos.

Thank you :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game.  :) It's really nice to read my own artistic intent from someone else's point of view.

You can right-click or press "esc" to access the pause menu. It's stated in the "help" section.

I appreciate the aesthetic vision so much.
