I have done some testing with your free public build 0.1.5 you shared on your patreon site three days ago. I have found some issues and will give an overall feedback at the end
1. UI:
Gamesettings from the starting screen and access late in the game. There are only two settings yet, both related to graphics. I didn't change any. What kind of graphicssettings should be expected is to some degree disputable , but audiosettings in my opinion are mandatory and the absence of any way to fine tune the audio output should be provided as soon as possible. The absence of sound setttings got especially annoying right from the start of the game because default settings are rather loud and i had to turn the volume on my device down to not beeing yelled at by this stupid alarm...
Access ingame to settings and to actually quit the game are currently combined with the inventory screen. But the inventory screen is locked to a certain point in the tutorial. So you either have to hardcrash teh game or progress the game at least to the middle of the basic tutorial. Both, settings and quit game, should be made available anytime, right from the beginning via a seperate screen, preferably opened by hitting escape. Ideally hitting ESC should also pause the game in the future?
Character creation for the current scope of the game is fine. Options are limited for now but thats stuff, one may expand in the future. For now it works and i haven't noticed any issues.
There is only one save currently, and your progress is saved automatically typically right from the start of a new scene. But the savegame worked even after hardcrashing the game via OS and reloading it.
2. Graphics/Animations (free public build, so SFW-Stuff only):
I like the scifi setting of the ark and the choosen assets. Character models are okay, not ugly, not exceptionally beautiful. Lots of generic stuff in level design. Overall graphics is good considering it's an indie-solodev project. Personal taste: i liked the old uniforms more mostly because i love skirts on girls :)
Some Animations are really odd. Tested female PC only. Her running animation seriously should be worked on. The hip movement seems to be the main issue with the hip rotating waaay to much like a pendulum from left to right. Therefore legs move in a really weird and unnatural way. Also arms movement feels a little bit off. For me it looks like you tried to make the run animation look very girly or sexy/bouncy and went totally overboard with the physics. I highly recommend looking into the anatomy of female running, take some videos and reduce speed, observe how diffent body parts move and do some refinement on your animation.
Idle Animation looks too nervous for me. I recommend to add some waiting/slowing down and let transition animations play longer. Have you ever talked to a person constantly wiggling from left to right in front of you? And if, how did you feel in these conversations?
Jump while running always results in a stop-landing on a knee type of animation. This feels terrible to me. The landing would be totally fine, if one would jump down from a first floor balcony or a logistic container. But you should use a different animation for how your character lands after a jump while running, because usually your body keeps its forward momentum like athletes do hurdling or someone jumping over a puddle to not get wet feed. Especially if the player wants to move forward after the jump anyway.
Walk and crouchwalk during the stealth tutorial was fine by me. Same with moving with a gun in the combat tutorial or the freezing-move-slowly from the very beginning
3. Dialogues (technical only):
The way how you present dialogue options to the player is a little bit too subtile. Especially from the start, meeting your first crewmate and the only option is three white dots on the right border of the screen on a light greyish background. This is so easy to miss, it took me some while to find them and realize the game expects me to answer.
Then there is a minor bug with the introductional dialogue with Zeno in the parcouring tutorial. After some questions, when Zeno explains stuff with some rather long text, there is a followup line "any questions". This followup question in some cases is shown too fast so the player has not enough time to read the whole text. Give it some time, probably let the player decide when he finished reading?
4. Additional Bugs:
The camera in the crossroad section of the ark (where you honor your supporters) behaves a little bit weird with stuttering around while moving around or rotate point of view.
There was another camera bug in the final room, where you meet Aline. If you position left of her next to the holotable she leans over and then rotate your view along the opposite site of the table there are some angles, where the whole scene disappears except for the background. If you move the mouse further everything reappears.
There are at least two windows in the glassfront of the bridge, where the player gets stuck in an infinite falling animation if one moves too close to the window.
5. Overall Feedback:
To be honest, it would be unfair to rate the game based on the tested version because it is way to early. Contentwise there isn't much to rate. Short introduction, some basic tutorials and when you reach the point one would expect the actual game to start,... its already over.
The tutoials where okay, promising some gameplay to come (in addition to the patreon restricted adult stuff). The game (0.1.5) has issues but nothing that can't be solved. I will keep an eye on this one, but it promises more then i have actually seen and the history so far keeps me more on the fence for now.
