Has anyone managed to get the download version to run on Linux? It opens with Wine but then the new game button/Enter doesn't work.
Loving to see all the updates in browser though!
This is really cute and I like the hidden complexity that's possible. One frustration is that you can see the properties/info of a moss before you unlock it, but that disappears after you unlock it. So unless you made detailed notes before, you're reliant on trial and error to figure out what harmonises or competes.
This is really cute idea! I've been enjoying watching my hive grow on the desktop.. A couple of things:
- the toggle for honey/wax is really difficult to see and the tutorial wasn't very clear one where to look. I spent quite a long time in the bee/flower tabs trying to figure out where it was!
- after buying expansion sections with water in, the builder bees clear the rocks but no flowers seem to spawn? I couldn't place mud there either, so it means there's no real point building more hive cells out to the sides once it gets to that area.
- the colours for pollen and wax are quite similar when they're not side by side. It was hard to tell which upgrades required what.
Looking forward to seeing this project grow.
This looks interesting to play and I enjoyed the limited questions. I've encountered a couple of softlock bugs with dialogue so far:
- Monday newspaper subscription chat (line about the estate). The exchange just repeats over and over.
- First meeting with Corbyn in the library lists as "null", and dialogue won't progress.
This was a great concept, and most of the leads were clear enough.
The only ones I struggled with were the weather (had it down to 2 options), "quiet place" (had to use the word pieces for a bit of guidance) and the phone lock (which I found by luck). The second one did give me a giggle when I figured it out, says a lot about the character!
Thank you for the accessibility inclusions like the mini-Cthulu and not including jumpscares! I love spooky storylines but struggle with full-blown horror, so being able to dial up/down the intensity made a huge difference.
I really enjoyed the design of this, looking forward to seeing whatever comes next.
This was really fun, not too taxing but well-constructed as a world. The few quicktime/minigame parts added some tension without impeding progress, and I liked the twists. (Couldn't have a citrus game without a garnish!)
My only minor gripe was that stairs felt quite clunky and took me a little while to figure out. Separately I also got stuck on some scenery at one point so had to reload, but didn't have to repeat much.
Thank you for making!
Good concept, but trying to get to see the descriptions of each one is frustrating and doesn't make sense. I managed to view a few by accident, but some instructions would be helpful. It really undermines the detail and care put into the text, taking the main stage instead of chewing over the case details for that "aha" moment.
Also there doesn't seem to be a way to remove a string once placed?
I really enjoyed this as a concept. Thank you for including a range of people in your customer models too, it made me so happy to see :D
The controls for sizing etc were easy to use and I liked that you can add as much as you like to the mask (as long as you meet the requirements). There were a couple of prompts I missed that didn't make much sense though e.g. the stick didn't count as crooked, the pair of stones/bubbles didn't count as grey.
I really enjoyed the art style and the puzzles!
One note: it was frustrating to have to keep redoing some puzzles (e.g. the blocked path) multiple times because I happened to have the wrong item in my hand and had to backtrack. Either having them remember that you've solved them once, or having a bigger inventory would help.
This is a cool concept - I've been enjoying the mechanic of using statements to disprove untruths and the character art style.
However I've reached a wall and not sure how to move forward. Even tried brute-forcing by trying every statement on all available avenues but no joy. What's weird is there are a couple of pairings that would make sense to progress so not sure if there's a bug somewhere.
(Have completed Mole's segment, and reached first mental level for all other characters.)
Thank you for the response - it helped and I got it! :)
Useful to know about the phone contacts - thought I was missing one so had been spending ages trying to get it XD
The police files were definitely the sticking point - I thought I needed a full name for D and had tried asking full names without luck. Turns out I needed to put 'file' at the end *doh*
All in all a wonderful game with just enough twists and subplots to really get my teeth into without it feeling super unfair :D
