I've used controllers like this many times over the years... great blog post :)
the use case for SDF textures is mostly quick collision tests, VFX graph etc. It might be fun to do some ray-marching tricks with them too...
Voxelize existing meshes (Convert Mesh to Clayxels basically)
Output the SDF as a 3d Texture
smooth normals on created meshes, preferably with the ability to specify the angle tolerance for the smoothing :)
