Try holding up/down arrow while using the stairs. You'll fall straight down if you hold down arrow and pressing up arrow will let you pass through the stairs if you are below one. I hope that helps. :)
i know it is not right to comment right before trying the game out but MAN! this game looks so good, so atmospheric and so realistic. im hyped to give this a go!
