Just realized I travelled that A140 from Colchester to Norwich,in the late sixties, on my beefed up moped (being dutch) to visit relatives and stopped at the old Dun Cow before it became Sugarbeat Eatinghouse. It's a shame FarmSamBrisco didn't extend the map to include the old Dun Cow. Could have had a beer there lol.

Did tou read the comments below?

You modified the map.i3d file in FS25_Ray_County.zip and the modDesc.xml like below and disabled the FS25_precision-farming-configurator, Did you also look at the log.txt file to see if there are any errors or warnings?

Also don't load a crapton  of mods as that might influence it too.

I've got it runnning on 3 systems. AMD 5700G with a RX 6900 XT , a PC AMD 7700 with a RX 6600 XT and my notebook a Lenovo Yoga 7735U.

Disable the precision-farming-configurator

and see if that helps. Precision Farming has had an update and don't know if that also effects FS25_Ray_County.

Did you try my previous comment.

You replace the terrainShader.xml in the FS25_Ray_County.zip to be precisely.

Or you do it like I my  in the message below by changing it in the map.i3d.
 Hope this clearer as an answer.

Actually found a better way to solve this.

Open the zip file and than open the file map.i3d.

change the line that says

<File fileId="2" filename="config/terrainShader.xml"/>

to

<File fileId="2" filename="$data/shaders/terrainShader.xml"/>

and change the modDesc.xml top lines to read

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no"?>

<modDesc descVersion="99">

   <author>no-creek-farms</author>

  <version>1.0.1.0</version>

  <title>

       <en>Ray County Missouri</en>

  </title>

Save those files, I take you all know how to save files in a zip
that will also ensure future updates/patches should work.

Make SURE to delete the content in the "My Games\FS25\shader_cache directory.

If you still have issues try starting without the precision-farming-configurator.

I play this map with the fences and without the precision-farming-configurator.

Do note any other mods might also give a mod conflict with the map

See my previous reply as that should get rid of that issue.

Be sure to read it all.

Did you clear the shader_cache directory?

I changed the ModDesc.xml as follows and now it works:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no"?>

<modDesc descVersion="99">

    <author>No_Creek_Farms</author>

    <version>1.0.1.0</version>

    <title>

        <en>Ray County Missouri</en>

    </title>

and copy the terrainShader.xml from where the game is actually installed FarmingSimulator25/data/shaders/terrainShader.xml that seems to do the complete trick.

Hope no-creek-farms updates the modDesc.xml file asap for an updated download.

The problem is not the update from GIANTS. In other words the map needs to be updated for patch 1.10 like also a number of other mods. AFAIK Ray County is sofar the only one effected.

Thats actually the updated one from 6/30/2025 as that is the latest .

Great thx for the map :D

Do you still need the dependencies from the previous version?

Great shed. Will there be one with solarpanels?

If you are running windows disable Windows Driver Update. Download the previous Nvidia driver from Nvidia website. Before installing that driver purge the old driver with DDU and then install the dowloaded Nvidia driver. Windows Driver Update is notorious to messing up working systems.

What might also help is to set the game at a fixed 50 or 60 fps depending on your videocard. FS22 is not a fast paced game i.e. fortnite or so.

Turn RT and Upscaling off and try  lowering the resolution.

Might like to have a look at Hardware Unboxed YT video as he explains and shows the effect of 4060 8GB vram cards with various settings.

For anyone having a Nvidia videocard there is apparantly a warning issued by GIANTS according to Farmer Klein:

Giants has issued a warning for Farming Simulator 22 players using Nvidia GPUs. There seems to be an issue with the game crashing on some Nvidia GPU's using the latest Nvidia driver 560.70. If you upgraded to this driver and are having issues the guidance is to downgrade for now to a previous release. If you have not yet updated your drivers I would advise holding off for now.
