The narration through the menus was far too slow, it got in the way of the otherwise engaging storry, if you sped that up or used TTS then the menus would disappear leaving the good stuff behind.

I'm sorry but the timing is off by quite a bit for me, it read out the letters very late as the tutorial is still being read when the letters appear. I couldn't play it I'm afraid.

Thank you so much for playing, I'm so happy you worked out the puzzle at the end!

The audio system is built specifically for this game, as the engine is bespoke the sound and physics engines are too. The sound is actually bounced around the level in real time and reverb calculated based on that.

I've never heard of that game, I'll have to give it a go!

I'm hoping my latest patch fixes that issue, I'm glad the save system helped but shouldn't have happened to you in the first place so sory!

sometimes the screen reader is cut off before it is done, also the pings happen at the start of each sentence, not the end so you are unsure of when the end is

The story was really good, I'd really like to hear the whole story when it's ready, I'm hooked!

End of prologue?! I need to know the rest of the story! I love the story, I need more!

I spent a lot of my time listening to the voice acting so I didn't have enough time to win, maybe it would have been better if the timer paused during this time?
I didn't want to skip the voice acting because it was so funny, baba yaga was hilarious and I didn't want to miss any of it

This is totally my sense of humour, feels like a jackbox game in the making

Good for you putting your work out there in a game jam on your first game! Keep it up, you've obviously got the bug!

The intro with VAS being helpfully unhelpful was hilarious but I got stuck trying to work out the instructions, they went by so fast and I don't really know what to do when you have to play with the audio levels of the clip. I'm low vision but don't use a screen reader so reading fast is hard and the instructions disappeared so fast that I'm just a bit lost, sorry. You got me hooked successfully in the first few mins though, really good voice acting!

This made me smile, I really liked hearing the grandpa's stories in between the little bits of interaction. Your old man voice was fun to listen to, all in all I think you did a good job :)

Sorry about that, it unticked itself when uploading a bug fix, should be sorted now! Thanks for pointing this out as I would never have realised.

Is there an in-game screen reader or does it hook into your system one? I'm low vision so don't tend to use a screen reader on this PC but it would really help in this game

This made my day <3 I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much for playing so far into the game, I'll give yours a go later!
As for the crash, I think I fixed this literally as you were playing! If you want to give it another go then that would be appreciated, if it happens again would you mind finding me on discord (MaxHatfull in the games for blind gamers server) and DM me so I can get a crash log from you? Instructions for this in the description, would really help me!

Thanks, this is the first game I've built in a game engine I'm working on. Following your feedback I've managed to boost the frame rate by 20x so maybe next jam  I'll be able to put something a bit smoother together!
