I'm currently collaborating with another artist on a game, this series may resume afterward depending on its performance since I can only do one at a time.
I'm sorry I don't know how to fix such a thing. I am not exactly a programmer and every game is made through the same program (renpy) and method so I have no clue what might cause this issue for some and not others.
Sorry for the late reply, I don't check itchio often now that I'm not working on any games. I'm not sure what the error is, I haven't gotten it myself and nobody else has mentioned the error so I think the file must have corrupted or something when downloaded. I don't really know anything about programming, I'm just imputing stuff into renpy. Sorry.
I am by no means a professional programmer so it is hard for me to keep track of so many lines of code at once. It's easier for me to split them into chapters so I have an easier load to work with in case I make a mistake somewhere.
Since you as a player just met the character it may seem sudden but there is an entire childhood (which is to be revealed more in detail as the game goes on) between you and Neo so for them the relationship is long overdue haha
The game is still being updated, sadly it is very slowly due to the lack of support. The one patreon supporter I do have votes for it to keep going every month though!
If you play to the end you will learn that there will be an epilogue and possibly extra chapters but it all depends on what patreon supporters want since they control what I work on.
I don't show the player so that you can truly play as yourself, even gender neutral designs are argued that they lean towards one or another plus fursonas come in many species so I don't want to leave anyone out.
Oh no I think I just reuploaded the old file by accident, I think it will be better now. As for the color I have no clue how to do that. I'm not super smart so I don't really have any control on the games programming, I'm surprised I've managed to get it to work even haha
I don't know how often I'll be able to work on it since I put collage and comms first, I just feel like people don't like irregular updates so I was thinking it might be better to release it all at once but maybe it't not a good idea to do that either. Thanks for your input!

It was my very first game so it was cut short due to my inability to figure out certain parts of the program and limited free time because of collage so I wanted to just get it done. However I have the script written for more games based off this one. Think of it as chapters in a book ^w^ I also have plans for longer games in the future and I'm getting the demo of it ready right now.
I do but I haven't been able to figure out the mobile options, I didn't really do any programming because renpy sets it up for you and I just have to insert the script and pictures. I put this together as a quick Christmas present to my followers, I would love for all of my games to be longer but it's hard to find the time since I'm currently enrolled in college. I do have longer projects in mind, I hope I can get a demo of one of them up in a month or so :3
I didn't give the character you play as a definite form so that people of any gender/sona species with whatever preference could play, I try my best so it doesn't lean towards one or the other but it's hard to do sometimes. I threw this together because I wanted to have something bigish as a Christmas surprise to my followers but I do have longer projects in mind. I don't have a patreon yet, I didn't think anyone would want me to but I'm honored that you think my work is good enough to have one! ^w^
5-10ish years if my work becomes somewhat successful and I decide to hire someone to convert my games to apps. It's most likely not going to happen though as I am not much of an app user nor a programmer, this is just something fun to do in between my art.
