Thanks for letting me know! The previous upload must have bugged out somehow. I just uploaded a fresh build, could you do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) and check it now? Level 4 should definitely be there (attaching a pic to prove it exists! :D)

Thank you for the detailed feedback! You hit the nail on the head regarding the rendering issues. I've just pushed a major update (v1.1) that overhauls the camera to true 1:1 rendering, eliminating the flickering and fixing those massive hitboxes. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the kind words about the graphics and music! The flickering was indeed a rendering issue fighting against the low resolution. I've just uploaded a v1.1 patch with a completely rebuilt pixel-perfect camera setup that smooths it all out. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! Dying to thin air was definitely the worst part of the first build. I've just patched the game (v1.1)—the hitboxes are now perfectly aligned with the sprites. Thanks for toughing it out to level 2 despite the bugs!

Thank you for the incredibly thorough feedback! I've just uploaded a major update (v1.1) addressing almost everything you mentioned. The hitboxes are fixed, the double audio bug is gone, the itch.io frame is resized, the flickering is smoothed out, AND I added an Escape button to return to the menu! Glad you enjoyed the music

Thanks for playing! The frustration was definitely justified—the hitboxes were broken in the original upload. I've just published the v1.1 update that fixes the physics and scaling, making it a much smoother experience!

Thanks for trying it out! The extreme difficulty was actually due to a nasty bug where the hitboxes were much larger than the visuals. I've just updated the game to v1.1 to fix this, so it is much more balanced and fair now.

Thanks for playing! You're completely right about the hitboxes. I've just uploaded a new v1.1 build that fixes the sprite scaling, so the hitboxes are now accurate to the pixel. Hope you get a chance to try the fairer version! Congrats on your game too!

Thanks for playing and for the compliment on the music! I've just pushed a major v1.1 update that finally fixes those oversized hitboxes so it plays perfectly fair now. (I'll definitely look into making the audio persist between scene reloads for the next jam!)

The cow is definitely worth it, but those hitboxes certainly weren't! I've just released the v1.1 update that completely fixes the colliders to perfectly match the sprites. Hope you get a chance to try the much fairer version. Thanks for playing!

(1 edit)

Thanks for taking the time to write this, I really appreciate the honest feedback! It was definitely frustrating to play before, but I just pushed an update that fixes exactly what you mentioned.

The game is now strictly locked to the real 84x48 resolution, and those unfair hitboxes are completely fixed (dying to thin air was the worst, sorry about that!). The jump input buffer is a brilliant suggestion, adding it to my to-do list right now. Thanks for playing and for the great tips!

Nice game I like it
